The location of the restaurant is in a prime and lively spot.
Ambience: We seated inside and the ambience of the restaurant is particularly pleasing.
Food/Ingredient Quality and Quantity: The quality and Quantity of the ingredients definitely was great. No issues with the quality of the food.
Authenticity: We ordered, Indian fried chicken, chicken Sheekh kabab, Chicken Biriyani and Mutton Bhuna. The waiter asked if we wanted more spicy and we said Yes.
Mutton Biriyani tasted more like Pulav with sweet raisins and almonds. Not so authentic. You know it when you see Shimla Mirch in the biriyani.
Mutton Bhuna was Ok and not spicy at all. I would like to say i don’t like very spicy, but we expected a little heat but that was completely missing.
Indian fried chicken was OK, nothing much to say.
The Chicken Sheekh kabab was really good. we enjoyed savoring it. And surprisingly the dish came with a roti (very nice)
The rotis and naan were top notch. Very soft and tasty. we had ordered a mix basket.
Overall, i would say a decent place if you want to try Indian food if you cannot handle heat. Would i go again? I don’t think so.
Just to mention that the restaurant name “Goa” has nothing to do with the Goan Cuisine of India.
Please insist on asking the bill before paying.
Now the food… honestly, it blew me away . Every dish tasted like it was made with real love and patience. The spices were balanced, the aroma was amazing, and you could feel the passion behind every bite. Nothing felt like it came out of a generic recipe. It had that soulful, comforting touch that reminds you why Indian cuisine is so special .
What I appreciated even more was how thoughtful the staff were. They checked in at the perfect moments, always with a smile , always making sure everything felt right. Not once did it feel forced. It felt like they actually cared about my experience, and that’s something you don’t find everywhere.
I walked out with a full stomach, a warm heart, and this quiet joy you get after a genuinely good meal ✨. Goa Hafencity isn’t just a restaurant, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to bring friends along just to share the experience.
However, the service does not match the quality nor the prices. I must deduct a star due to the service; we were not given the card for the first 10 minutes and had to pick it up ourselves, followed by an order that was spicy although ordered mild, and the waiteress tried to prove us wrong instead of switching the dish (mistake admitted from the kitchen). I recommend they look behind the awkwardly placed wall in the middle of the lobby as our table was there where no staff was looking.
The kids choices are very mild yet extremely tasty.
Lassi is the perfect sweat and smooth touch you want.
My wife and I had the Grand Tali Goa Signature to share. It was delicious. Being a spice food fan I would have loved some pieces to be a bit sharper but honestly it was so tender and tasty that I loved it.
Will definitely go back next time we are in town
