Very good drinks, not too strong, definitely not watered down.
Appetizers… very, very good. The calamari is the best in Charlotte, bar none. The bread service is lacking in the amount of dips, they wait staff will bring more ! The bread is truly the star here.
Specials… ok, here is the Achilles heel. I am not a huge fan of their ability to create good specials.
Entree: This is where they shine, stayed on the menu and you will have a great meal. The mashed potatoes are surprisingly very good. The green beans are basically raw, this is neither a good or bad issue, just a heads up.

The food was absolutely phenomenal! Every dish was flavorful and well prepared. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. Over the course of more than two hours, we only saw our waitress once between placing our order and receiving the check. While the music was good, it was extremely loud and made conversation challenging.

This visit differs from other times. This visit I sat at the bar to enjoy happy hour bar bites. The bartender was not very attentive. I patiently watched him engage with what appeared to be friends visiting the restaurant while he total ignored the 4 guest at the bar. I waiting for about 20 mins just to place my order. The only reason I didnt leave was because I will need to cash out for my cocktail. Ive dined here many times.Indoor ..outdoor..and bar. But this was the 1st visit that tested my patience.

We recently dined at Burton’s and had an overall pleasant experience. I ordered the California chicken sandwich, which had good flavor, though the chicken was a bit on the dry side. The fries were slightly oily and tasted like they may have been frozen. My wife tried the short rib grilled cheese, which she enjoyed, and also had fries.
We also started with the bread service, which was a highlight—soft, fresh bread served with three delicious dipping sauces. The atmosphere was clean and inviting, and we appreciated the comfortable setting.
Service was a little slow at the beginning, especially in getting our drink order, and the food took longer than expected, though we understand this may have been due to the transition from brunch to dinner service.
All in all, it was a decent dining experience with some tasty highlights, and we’d consider coming back to try more of the menu.

We went to Burtons Grill & Bar last night for dinner. Check-in was quick, less than a minute, and we chose to sit outside since it was a little too loud indoors.
We ordered the Maxx Burger, the California Chicken Sandwich, and a cheeseburger for our kid. The food arrived in about 20 minutes and everything tasted great the Maxx Burger especially stood out.
Service was friendly but a bit inconsistent. I ordered a lemonade, but it didn’t come until I asked for it, and the same thing happened with the refill.
The bathroom was clean, which I always appreciate. Overall, the food was very good, but the service could use some improvement.

I arrive around 3pm on a Friday so the restaurant had every few people. The music was a nice tone. The bar had two sports Tvs. The childrens cheese hamburger was really large for a 5 yr old. Plus fries, milk, fruit cup and pudding. The roasted vegetables on rice bowl was excellent. The best ever. Highly recommend.

There were a number of flies in the restaurant, and one of the waiters brought a mechanism to our table to swat them away. Our waitress was phenomenal. We ordered the gluten-free lobster roll as an appetizer. It would have been better if it were placed on a roll or hot dog bun but instead came in a hamburger bun. I wasn’t a fan of the fries or bun. Our table ordered a burger, gluten-free fried fish sandwich, and gluten-free haddock. I removed the fried fish from the bun and ate it, leaving the bun and fries. I was assured the fries were gluten-free and prepped accordingly, but I couldn’t keep them down. I would eat at Burton’s again but would try the wings or pasta, staying away from the bread and French fries.

I was in the area and visited by chance and hit the jackpot when I met the general manager Krisztian and one of the regional guys, Dominique! They blew me away with their hospitality! I had a pretty bad experience when I dined at a different Charlotte location with my husband, and these two gentlemen turned that around for me. Their philosophy is simple. Make the customers happy! Go above and beyond and they sure did deliver last night. I am so happy I stopped by and gave Burtons another chance. By the way, my go-to is the General Tso bowl. It’s packed with flavor. It has a kick that’s for sure!
I also cannot visit without ordering the “bread service.” And I brought home their addictive chocolate cake!
If you want to be treated like a VIP, I highly recommend Burtons!

I have to start by giving a big shout out to the management team here. Krisztian (and Marie) made sure when a visit not to their expectation was had by my family, that they encouraged a return visit—that previous experience was not their norm. I had written the positives and negatives in their personal survey. Shows that they read them! And they care about their customers!
It was a surprisingly busy Sunday after a Friday Valentine’s Day. We were acknowledged upon our reservation arrival and seated within 5-10 minutes. The service was good- we received our appetizer quickly and before the meal. Delivery of dishes was well timed. Server was great balance of checking in but also giving us space.
Appetizer of calamari was good – was it the best I’ve had, no- but lightly battered with a good tartar for dipping.
My house salad was well delicious. The fine balance of flavors and ingredients just hit the mark. The crispness of the bacon, the salty edge of the blue cheese and the tang of the mustard vinaigrette was A+.
My husbands short rib was fine – but not an ‘order again’ selection for either of us.
Crabcake snob here – it’s my seaside roots I guess. Yes I know the crab is lump but still was on the smaller side for $39 entree price and wasn’t a fan of the binder ingredient in it. Left the remnants on the plate. Side note – the fries were crispy and delicious!
Overall good meal – I would order the salad and fries again but would get another entree and app.

Stopped by for a date night and we were cheerfully greeted and sat quickly on the patio. Atmosphere is lively and a bit loud but expected for a bar and grill.
Once we were seated we were there for quite a while before our drink order was taken and it was quite a long time before the drinks arrived.
We both ordered the ribeyes, at $49 each, we were expecting a great steak. I believe they were probably cooked the way we asked for but it looked like the plates stayed under the warming lights for a bit too long. We ordered medium and both got well done. The flavor and quality of the steaks were good, very disappointing to be that overcooked for that price.
From the time we were sat to the time we paid it was a little over an hour and a half and we didn’t order appetizers or dessert. The manager did offer to take the steaks off the bill or bring new steaks but we weren’t interested, the server asked how the food was and we told them. The manager did insist on giving us a $20 discount.
For the prices they charge we don’t feel it was worth it and we won’t be going back.
