New Glasgow Lobster Suppers offers a classic PEI dining experience in a warm and well-run environment. The first thing I noticed was how organized everything was—the staff have a clear system in place that keeps the flow of guests smooth and efficient, even when it’s busy. The atmosphere feels lively but comfortable, making it a great place to bring family or friends. As for the food, the lobster was fine, though not the highlight of the evening. The mussels were a bit underwhelming in flavour, and the scallops were decent but not outstanding. That said, the service really stood out—attentive, friendly, and quick, which helped make the evening enjoyable overall. While the seafood itself was mixed in quality, the overall experience was positive because of the welcoming setting and excellent staff. It’s worth visiting for the tradition and service, even if the food doesn’t completely shine.

It was our first time here, and wow the food is phenomenal. Our server Lisa was very attentive and informative about navigating the dinners. The lobster was cooked perfectly and the chowder is very flavourful. The coconut cream pie was delicious and creamy. I am definitely going to come back here on my next trip, I am already looking forward to it. It was an experience in its self.

Left a little hungry after supper, NOT! What a great experience. Our server, Harlee, treated us so well. We were well taken care of. The food was very good. Try to save room for dessert

My first time at New Glasgow Lobster Suppers, we went as a group of 10, this place is AMAZING!

The meal starts off strong with your choice of seafood chowder (basically a clam chowder but with lobster and more seafood) or tomato basil soup and dinner rolls (served warm and delicious) I went for the clam chowder and wow… honestly, one of the best I’ve ever had, truly hearty and delicious.

After that comes the three-salad plate consisting of coleslaw, a garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette, and a potato salad. Everything was so good. Then the main course, our table went mostly for lobster, plus a couple of Surf and Turf plates with scallops. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted incredibly fresh. Honestly, by the time you finish the third course you’re already stuffed, but when dessert rolls around, there’s no way you can say no!

Dessert and drinks are included too, which is awesome. They had a bunch of dessert options, and while I was sad there was no coconut cream pie that night, the warm blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream made up for it.

Our waitress Lindsay was so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Honestly, she made the whole experience even better.

I’d been to New Glasgow Lobster Suppers once before, over 30 years ago, and I’m glad to see that, other than it getting a little bigger over the years, it remains largely unchanged. It really is a no-frills hall dedicated to the enjoyment of lobster dinners. It’s like the effort has been focused on the food as opposed to the decor…and this is not a bad thing.

I ordered the 1.5 pound lobster as did my youngest. My older son ordered the Surf & Turf. We all loved the meals, the lobsters were delicious. Of course, you have to put some effort into cracking the shell and extracting the meat, but that’s part of the experience.

All you can eat mussels, salad, chowder and dessert ensures you don’t leave hungry. I liked the Coconut Cream Pie. You can order drinks with your meal but they are part of a separate bar tab. I ordered a local beer from Bogside Brewing to go with the lobster and really enjoyed it.

New Glasgow Lobster Suppers is the place to go if you’re looking for a great East Coast meal. I hope not to wait another 30 years before I return. Recommended!

Wow, what a great meal!
Start with a warm, heavenly roll.
Add a bucket of mussels.
Have a small bowl of chowder.
Pop in a tossed salad with a scoop of coleslaw and potato salad.
Have a lobster with opened tail, and cracked claws for your eating pleasure.
Top it off with strawberry shortcake.
Oh, so good.

Fantastic! Just left New Glasgow Lobster Suppers and I’m officially in a food coma. The food here is absolutely fantastic. Seriously, the lobster was perfectly cooked, and the best part is the unlimited sides! I practically swam in their delicious seafood chowder and devoured countless mussels. You won’t leave hungry, that’s for sure. A must-visit for anyone looking for a truly great meal on PEI!

This is a must-experience feast when visiting PEI. A few days in advance we asked the locals which lobster restaurant they recommend, and New Glasgow Lobster Suppers topped the list.

The food was exquisite, and you’d better go hungry because either way you will be leaving stuffed. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-oriented. It’s like you showed up to a community event, rather than a restaurant.

The service is exceptional … Julie our server was very pleasant and friendly.

Do your homework people – it’s a dining hall, serving large numbers if people at once. The reputation is lobster, and for those of us visiting from “away,” WE WANT LOBSTER! If you want good steak, go find a steak house. (I feel that this place should maybe not offer it, if they can’t provide a good cut, and cook it properly?) I already knew about the salads (they tasted great to me – definitely not “Costco” as one reviewer seemed to think (there is no Costco on PEI btw) Buns tasted homemade, as did the two different pies I had (lemon and coconut) Chowder was better than the stuff at the Blue Mussel. Tomato Basil soup was delicious as well. And then the lobster – where could you go wrong here? Ours were lovely – cracked and ready to be dipped in butter! We have spent close to the same amount of money at other places in PEI and only had a smidge of actual seafood – this place was a great “first island visit” experience. Our server was also very pleasant and informative and brought us everything we asked for in a timely manner. Coming during the off-season was a good thing – no waiting, no harried staff, great service
