Mi Rancho was a hit for our whole family. We were greeted with free homemade chips and salsa that were warm, fresh, and the perfect start to the meal. The food portions were generous, and everything was packed with flavor. The guac especially was next level — super fresh and full of flavor.
The atmosphere was welcoming and vibrant, and the service was top-notch. Our waiter checked in with us several times, kept the drinks full, and made sure everything was perfect the entire visit.
We were celebrating a birthday and asked if they do anything special. They offered tequila shots, which made us laugh since we were there with our four kids (ages 6, 8, 11, and 14). It wasn’t really a problem, just kind of a funny moment.
All in all, we left full, happy, and already talking about what we want to try next time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great Mexican food and friendly service!

One of my top Mexican restaurants anywhere, my favorite I’d say! Would be in the top few in any city in the US. Incredible attention to detail and flavor. Everything fresh and scratch made with no shortcuts means amazing flavor in everything from basic rice to bean soup to the Birria or Ribeye al carbon. Shrimp tacos are my top go to. Spicy salsa is on point for Chile de arbol lovers. Great staff, owners, and atmosphere.

Less Vegetarian options. I understand it’s authentic Mexican cuisine but you could serve just rice cooked in tomato broth as another option instead of chicken broth. No need to be upset when we request for vegetarian friendly options as if we came to the wrong spot. Every meal comes with the same chicken broth’d rice.

Fabulous stop! Endless bowls of warm salty chips and chunky salsa (we each got our own bowl of salsa!) with a hint of spice. The margaritas are great! We got guava, strawberry and mango. To eat we had the veggie burrito (veggies were mushroom, onion, zucchini, crunchy sweet carrots and red/green peppers), chicken with mushrooms plate(came with a side of beans, tomatoes and fresh guacamole with Spanish rice) and the fajita burrito. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious! Service was attentive and friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Highly recommend to stop and treat yourself if you’re in the area!

Incredible food! Everything you would expect from a Mexican restaurant, but absolutely top quality. Not any more expensive than a chain like Acapulco, but the quality and effort was in a different class. The tacos Al pastor especially was phenomenal, and came with topped with braised adobo pork shoulder, fresh pineapple, and a little side of delicious smoky bean soup, a side of spicy salsa, along with the usual rice and beans.

07.20.24 Well went went again today for the 4th time and today we found a hair in my food. The manager was so rude because i pointed it out. She even told the waiter not to come back to table. It wasn’t his fault. We still wanted to tip him. I don’t think we are coming back after this.

This place is SOOOOOO TERRIBLE I don’t understand how it is still in business. The old Mi Rancho that was a staple in Bemidji for many, many years, was a ton of good quality food for cheap, as well as great service. The “New” Mi Rancho is pathetic. The food is bland, their menu has gone from a 5-6 page selection of options, to a single flip over page. Their prices have more than doubled across the board, and their portion sizes are a SICK JOKE!!! If I spend $30 for fajitas, I damn well better get more than 3 tortillas, 3 pieces of steak, 3 pieces of chicken, and 3 pieces of shrimp. The whole gimmick of Mexican resturants is that you get to always have leftovers, and it’s supposed to be reasonably priced. I’m not kidding when I say that I thought they mistakenly gave me a kids portion of my food. It was enough to make 1 large fajita, and then I had literally no meat for the other 2 tortillas. The pop was also flat, and was extremely low on syrup.
I gave this place a chance after they transferred ownership, it sucked. I waited 6 months, it still sucked. I waited another 4 years, IT HAS MANAGED TO GET EVEN WORSE.
I’ll never be eating here again until they change ownership. They clearly do not take any sort of negative feedback under consideration since almost every single negative review is in regards to all of that changes that increase their profit margin, at the expense of the consumer.
