The service was absolutely five-star, attentive, friendly, and professional. However, for a restaurant positioned as high-end, the food just didn’t deliver. The restaurant was nearly empty during our visit, and while the presentation was nice, the quality wasn’t there. I’ve honestly had better crab cakes from Harris Teeter’s (Signature crab cakes). The succotash with the crabcakes seemed old and flavorless. For the prices charged, I expected a much higher level of flavor and quality. Overall, great service but very average food for the cost.
I won’t be going back again and it’s the second time I’ve eaten there and both times disappointing.

We had a reservation for 8, we were a few minutes early but sat immediately. Our waiter was so kind, patient (I take a while to decide), and continued to check on us. It was decorated for Christmas which I loved!! But the most important thing was the food…it was amazing . I thoroughly enjoyed those Brussel sprouts, and the shrimp fried rice! Can’t wait to go back! It was my birthday

Not typical Milner’s. Have always loved Milner’s, but last Saturday, 1/17, just didn’t hit the mark as usual. I thought it may have been that we were seated by a large group with three loud toddlers, but when the food arrived I was a bit disappointed. Our party of four was graciously served by Lisa, who is “top notch” and I’m sure would have taken care of my cold sautéed spinach and yucky mashed potatoes plated by an ice cream scoop, had I said something but we were in a rush to get to a concert reservation. I was quite happy that everyone else loved their food and enjoyed the meal. Like I said before, I know that my meal would have been taken care of if I had said something about it. Try them!

My wife and I along with our son ate here for the first time tonight. And I say I did not disappoint we got the 18oz NY Strip stake and our son got the chicken sandwich and we shared the hot honey cheesecake. The stake was honestly the best stake we have had in quite some time it was cooked to perfection and the cheesecake was to die for.the salad was amazing as well. Definitely will be returning

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant, and I can’t emphasize enough how much I enjoyed my experience! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a memorable meal.

I started with the Frogmore Stew, which was bursting with flavors and packed with fresh shrimp, scallops, mussels, and sausage. It was the perfect blend of ingredients and truly a standout dish! Next, I tried the Pork Chop with collard greens, and it did not disappoint. The perfectly grilled pork was juicy and flavorful, and the collard greens complemented it beautifully.

For dessert, I indulged in their cheesecake, which was creamy and decadent, a true sweet treat to end my meal on a high note. And let me not forget the fried calamari – it was crispy, tender, and served with a delightful dipping sauce that was just the right amount of sweet and tangy.

Overall, my experience at this restaurant was exceptional, and I can’t wait to return to try more dishes from their enticing menu. Whether you’re in the mood for Southern flavors or fresh seafood, this place has it all! Highly recommended!

The food was very bad for the price.
Everything of this restaurant reminds me of a normal creap restaurant. NOT FINE DINING AT ALL. Save your $$$. Go somewhere the chief and server take price in Quality. The chicken brest of half breading. Very Bad. Steak was way over cooked…. like Leather. Very tough.

We’ve eaten here many times but finally went for Sunday Brunch. I have yet to have a meal that I didn’t enjoy. The food is so tasty and the portions are good. Forgot to take a picture because we dug right in immediately, Highly recommend this restaurant for quality food!

The only reason I can’t give this a 5 is because of the prices. They are ridiculous. A side salad is $10 and it’s an add on with any dish. It contains lettuce, a few cherry tomatoes, a few slivers of carrot, croutons and your choice of dressing. $6 would be pushing it for a salad like this. Our waitress was a bit aloof. We had to ask for bread and drink refills. It seems people who frequent here are given better service. A couple came in and sat down beside us. Our waitress had their table and another server brought them their alcohol and took their order. We had been waiting for over 10 min to give our order and they walked in after us. I ordered the crab cakes and my husband got the sea bass. Both plates are good, but still over priced. Our total was $105 before tip for two. I wanted the filet, but I can’t bring myself to pay $58 for a steak I can purchase at the grocery store for $18.

Great dinner spot in Winston Salem! Whether a date night or business dinner this restaurant has impressed each time. Classic fare like great steak and some unique Southern items like fried green tomatoes, shrimp & grits, pot roast or a hearty meatloaf, but also tasty crab cakes and vegetarian items are available – see the rice and veggies entree pictured. The NY cheesecake and chocolate torte were so good they did not last long enough to picture! Staff was professional and overall atmosphere seemed very private even though it was busy each time visited. Convenient off S Stratford Rd and plenty of parking.
