We tried Joey D’s for the very first time and WOW—what a find! We had a deep dish Chicago-style pizza, and it completely blew us away. Thick, hearty, loaded with flavor, and perfectly cooked from top to bottom. You can tell real care goes into making these pies.
The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, the service was friendly, and the pizza alone is worth the trip. If you’re even thinking about trying Chicago deep dish, this is the place to do it. We loved it and will absolutely be back!

Husband loves Chicago pizza and he LOVED the pizza!! My teenagers even ate it too which I was surprised bc they are die hard pepperoni pizza eaters. The cheese bread was delicious as well, very cheesy. Alfredo was okay. Like others have said, it needs more flavor so I did put the salt and pepper packs on it that came with the cutlery. Strong cream flavor, def needed more garlic, salt, to level it up, but it was saucy which I appreciate. I hate when Alfredo or pasta in general is under sauced. We did take out and everything was fresh and hot!

I am from Chicago. This pizza is better than all the big chain Chicago pizza. Better than Giordano’s and Gino’s, hands down. Better/the best premium cheese, incredible fresh sauce with flavor that pops like a sam marzano import, and high quality flour, and ingredients across the board. So so so good!! This may be the best i’ve had! So happy to find this place!! ❤️❤️❤️

What an amazing and delicious deep dish pizza! My wife and I enjoyed a side of cheesy fries and a few drinks. The staff was super friendly and attentive. It was a nice day so we sat outside without issue. Everything was amazing. The inside is unreal with their decor and history of the establishment, enjoyed walking through to check it out as we were the only ones there when they opened (11am). They even had alcoholic ice cream, maybe next time! Highly Recommended for a date night or group / family night out!

If you’re a Chicago style pizza lover and/or a Bears football fan, Joey D’s in Venice, Florida is where its at. This was our first time eating here and they did not disappoint. The atmosphere was lively and fun, our server Jon was exceptional. We ordered their newer appetizer, the “Big Mac Egg Rolls” and they were delicious. Then of course, the star of the show was the pizza. “The Monster”. The sauce was very light and flavorful, the toppings were fresh and filled the whole pizza. Very good value and quality. We’ll be back!

The staff is very friendly,the atmosphere was very cool. The food wasn’t so great,the Chicago beef sandwich the meat was very tuff. The deep dish pizza was very doughy. The ones I’ve had in the past it was nice and crispy. It was all good, maybe the cook was just having a bad day.

First time dinner. Atmosphere was very relaxed and comfortable. Jordan was very knowledgeable and provided great service. Great Chicago style pizza in SWFL… if not the best we’ve had in the past several years. Bathrooms we’re well stocked and very clean. Drove 30 miles just to try Joey D’s deep dish pizza. I was not disappointed and will definitely be a repeat customer.

My husband and I decided to pick up a pizza to go – I wanted to see the inside… nostalgia! Like an old school pizza place from my college days; cozy, inviting and friendly! I’ve lived in the area for years and somehow had never gone here. I have been back twice (including for my birthday lunch) and LOVE it! The food is delicious and the service is so friendly and welcoming. I finally tried Chicago deep dish pizza and was completely wowed. Do NOT miss their meatballs, omg they are so good! Really nice back story on the restaurant as well. A+!

Tonight was my first time dining at Joey D’s. We walked in and got seated right away. Waited no more than a minute or two before Anna approached us with a big smile. She was super accommodating to our needs and made us feel welcome. We ordered a large thin-crust pizza and a salad. The pizza was hot and delicious, and the salad was crisp and fresh. Two thumbs up. Would definitely go back to Joey D’s.

We were going to get take out, but outdoor seating was inviting, so we dined in. Chicago dogs weren’t as plump as portillos, but they were good. Fries were great (perfectly cooked and seasoned). Staff was helpful and friendly. Something was sour about the tap beer I received, and they happily let me substitute a bottle. We were there when they opened, so we found parking with our boat trailer. But if you have a trailer, you might have to park further away. IDK about a Chicago joint with “cheese steak” instead of Italian beef, tho ;). Pizza looked good. I would return if I lived in the area.
