Los Cabos Mexican Grill & Steakhouse – Visit Brenham Texas

Los Cabos isn’t just great Mexican food – we also have American favorites, including a large salad bar! We have plenty of space for parties or meetings.

The wait staff are very attentive and friendly. We loved the queso flamenco con chorizo and salsa. Poland sauce is good, but a little heavy on butter. Beya loved the flavor of her beef enchiladas. It was busy during our visit, so we were slow to recieve our food. However, our server Luis Soto made sure to check in regularly which is great service! We will be back.

Met some family from out of town here last weekend and it was decent. I appreciate they served queso blanco with the chips and everyone enjoyed their food. My chimichanga was very bland however, but the beans and rice were really good. If I came back I’d probably try the tacos al carbon because those seemed to be more flavorful. Staff was both friendly and attentive and then at times not attentive at all. The waitress brought our drinks fairly quickly and was always ready to refill drinks and chips promptly. However when we said we were ready to order she told the waiter and he threw his hands up and kept walking. eventually another waiter came and took our order. It was a very strange moment and maybe there was some context I wasn’t aware of it but nonetheless it seemed unprofessional.

Health department needs to come in and verify all employees food handling certificates. If this is allowed in the FOH, I can only imagine the BOH. I watched employees make drinks and use this cutting board(pictured), not one person ever washed their hands. The container used for Limes was used multiple times bare handed to extract Lime pieces for drinks. Once seeing all of this I could not eat my food that was brought out, due to the unknown in the BOH. I hope no one gets sick from the practices I witnessed.

Service quick. We requested some changes and they were plated correctly. You do have to pay more if you use a credit card which is why they got a 4 on atmosphere. For years they have paid services charges so why are they passing this on to the customer while asking for a 20 percent tip.

Disgusting. This is the Los Cabos Dinner. Their namesake. $21 before tax. It was worse than I remember my elementary school meals being. I took two bites and threw the rest away. Taco Bell would have been significantly better and more filling at half the price. All together we spent over $100 and most of it was thrown away.

Best advice, go in hungry.

Great Mexican food at mostly reasonable prices, and the waitstaff is very friendly and attentive. The portions definitely allow for sharing or leftovers. Enjoy!

This place is just ok considering there are not a lot of options in the area. Customer service is blunt but not rude. They charged me for the dinner portion and gave me the lunch portion of my meal. Sustitutions are not of equal value. I was charged for an extra side bc i took off only the beans in my meal and not the rice and beans. Typically, you trade 1 side for another, not 2. The food was good but could’ve used more seasoning. All in all, I’d return if I had to but it wouldn’t be my first choice.

This was my first time here, it was a recommendation from a friend…..it was fantastic!! Everything was delicious. They do give large portions so be prepared to have a lot left over. The service was outstanding, great atmosphere! It was just an overall great experience. We will definitely be going back and I would also highly recommend to anyone.

7-20-24 Another great experience at Los Cabos, Diego was our waiter, he offered great service and was very attentive.

Was on a day trip with the family and stopped by for lunch. The staff was very attentive and made sure our glasses didn’t go empty, as well as making sure everything else was ok. Food was great as well, me and the wife enjoyed our dishes, and while the kids ordered from the kid menu their food looked just as good. Would def recommend stopping here!

I don’t recommend. I’ve never seen or tasted “Mexican food” like this and I’m Mexican! I don’t know what they put in the enchiladas- bell pepper, Zucchini, shrimp. It was gross. Ground beef is not an option in your enchiladas or tacos. They use al carbon, but it is chewy..
The waiter was nice and had a great voice- he should be a futbol announcer or dj instead of waiter! Most of the other staff doesn’t speak English. They seated us in the walking path to the party room, so everyone coming through the restaurant bumped into our table/chair. Go to Guadalajara instead.
