Mexican food is the best! This restaurant just proves it. Service is excellent in a cool Mexican atmosphere. The steak burrito I ordered was prepared well and complimented by some tasty beans. I had asked for some house hot sauce which gave it a little bit more of a kick.
When you are in the Franklin area do give this place a visit. Skip the chain of fast food places.

No problems with the food. It was always good. But I’ve been over charged 3 times.First 2 times,I just blew it off. The 2nd,dish I ordered was supposed to be ribeye. It wasn’t.Third time,I was charged for a large dish (which is what I usually get) but after getting home,found out,I didn’t get what I paid for. Spoke with management on the phone. This person couldn’t even find my ticket. I asked if my receipt would help. It was like talking to a brick wall after that. Again,no complaints about the food. But they need someone in that position to handle situations like mine better & for that,I won’t be spending any more money there

Nice, clean restaurant. Had the dinner combination with chili relleno and taco. Good portions, hot, nice presentation. Hubs had the chicken fajitas dinner. Smell was awesome, flavor even better. Chips and salsa – chips hot and salsa with just a hint of heat. Service was prompt, appropriate and everyone was courteous. Worth the trip!

The food was pretty tasty and presented very well. The margaritas were ok. Well, my first one was. I preferred a second and it came back tasting like lime juice.
The waiter was not paying attention and it was hard to catch him. When I told him about my drink, he took it and brought me back a check. My first margarita was 10.99. I was then told when I added a shot it was 9.99. I definitely did not have a $20 drink.

There were plenty of friendly, professional wait staff to attend to our large party. The chips and salsa, and other food items came out quickly, were hot, and made from super fresh ingredients.

My husband and I just moved 25 minutes outside of Franklin, VA. We arrived @ El Ranchero Mexican Grill and Bar 30 minutes prior to closing. Being so late we were leery, however I believe those were some of the best Nachos I’ve ever had in my life, not to mention the portions; i ate off them 3 times. My husband loved his Grande burrito with steak and chicken! 10/10 would recommend!

This place is quite the find! Comparable with places in the Hampton roads but it’s an hour south of there! Prices are extremely reasonable, the portions are LARGER than expected at price points. Great service, very fast food preparation, delicious “spicy sauce” and their house salsa actually has a pleasant spicy kick as well… Their white salsa is on the sweeter side and the queso was perfect.
The biggest surprise was how the Mushroom Quesadilla appetizer was, in itself, a complete meal! The carnitas are fantastic here… Not too dry, very tender, and the fatty pieces have amazing flavour.

So rude. I called them because I thought their menu said rice and beans but it said pico and beans. I came in to try and replace the beans with rice and they were so condescending and said “If you pay extra.” I said “For a replacement?” He said “Yeah.” and looked at me like I was dirt. Then I said “Well this pico looks old, can I replace this with something fresh?” He said “It’s made fresh everyday.” and the hostess beside him said “Well maybe because it’s hot outside.” That pico was starting to bubble, it was not fresh. I said “l’ll just keep it.” I threw my sides away in their parking lot and went and bought rice and beans from Don Pancho’s instead. I understand we misread the menu and may have sounded frustrated on the phone, but I was polite to them in person and did nothing to deserve to be treated like that. Yeah, never again. Not even for water. Not for this kind of treatment.

Food was amazing, tasted great, and was promptly made! The waiter kept checking in to see how everything was and if I needed anything else. Highly recommend to anyone, I’m a truck driver so I try all sorts of restaurants and this is a winner!
