I went to Wendy’s today and ordered just burger patties with cheese on top of each patty. Super simple request, right?
The girl asks me, “Do you want the cheese on top or on the side?”
I say, “On top of the burgers, please.”
Tell me why… she hands me a tower of patties stacked like Jenga pieces and then ALL the cheese stacked together like it’s auditioning to be a grilled cheese sandwich on its own
Like… did the cheese and the beef get into an argument? Are they not on speaking terms today?
I shouldn’t have to assemble my own burger-puzzle in the car.
Just put. The cheese. On the meat. It’s literally the one job.
Rant over. I’ll be here separating my cheese slices like I’m preparing a kindergarten art project.

I won’t say I was happy with my order today but wasn’t the worst …however.. fries were stale and cold for mine and my husband’s order. His burger and mine were fine. Just fine. But my burger tasted better than it looked and it didn’t look good…at all. The spicy nuggets and sweet chili sauce was good. They were “out” of both drinks we wanted so we got diet root beer and regular root beer. His was supposed to be a medium and they gave him the same size as me (I got the biggie bag so much smaller drink).
I was too tired and had a long day at work to complain to the person at window as the food wasn’t even good enough to return to the window .. they were not busy by the way. One car ahead of me. And that is it.

I would rank this Wendy’s poorly. Wendy’s change over time so I will add 3/6/2026. Lunch. The line was long, the service was absolutely horrible, the order was wrong. They did give us the fries and they were hot, but not really filled up. Sauces were not missing. By son of Baconator was a single patty, no bacon. This is the end of the fast food era. Only stopped from desperation. Next time in Gastonia, I’ll just head home hungry.

Visited 3/1/26 at 1:44am. Staff was not following procedures and served me an ice cold crispy chicken sandwich. I do not appreciate this because I spent my money on this. If the issue is not addressed and resolved, I’ll be filing a dispute with the bank. It’s not about the cost, it’s about principle and I’m the pettiest. Look at all the other reviews – they are highly egregious and bad, so we can’t all be wrong. Wendys needs to investigate this location and management immediately.

We just went for breakfast and I had a mobile order. We pull up to the speaker and the first thing they say is we have no eggs! We told them that we would get our sandwiches without. We wait what seems like forever (we are the only people on the property other than the 2 working). We get our food and the meat was warm, but the bread and cheese was COLD. It felt like they had just taken it out of the fridge…..my 6 year old even complained about it, and she never complains about food. Wendys shouldn’t even do breakfast if this is the service and quality they give….

Yikes. DO NOT COME HERE. I was in a few nights ago. There was a woman standing at the drive thru just talking on her cell not helping anybody. 3 dudes walked by and just looked at me. I was the only person in the restaurant. Finally the poor dude at the register told me he was there 30 minutes after his shift was over and having a panic attack. Abd when I asked for crackers for the chili, he started to freak out. Took a phone call. To top it off, they threw the food upside down into the bag. Nuggets and fries were everywhere. Obviously the food was bad. But the service was spectacularly awful, and wildly unprofessional.

I came here to share my experience, and found that MANY share my sentiments! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!!! Its been quite some time since I’ve been to this location, due to a different bad experience that I shared on here. The employee was wearing gloves while running the cash register, handling money, adjusting his zipper, grabbing drink cups by putting his fingers on the inside of them… all with the same pair of gloves on. He cursed me when I called him out on it, while exclaiming, “I’m wearing gloves!!” Obviously, incompetent to the purpose of wearing gloves.
Today, several months after my last visit, I tried this location again, thinking surely by now, things would be better. I was the only car in drive-thru. No one answered, do I pulled to the windows, thinking the speaker might be broken. Employees on the inside kept passing the drive thru window, looking at me, but never acknowledging me. I continued to wait. By this time the drive thru is long, nearly wrapped around the building, and no one is being served. I drove to another establishment.
The reviews don’t lie. At this point, I’m just waiting for this location to close. Newly renovated, but not worth a damn.

We waited in the drive through with only 2 cars ahead of us one at the speaker box and one already at the window and it still took 25 minutes to place our order. The spicy nuggets were great, the bacon burger had 1 piece of bacon between the patties, a ton of mayo and lettuce, and 3 pickles stacked in the middle. The fries were a mix of fresh and old burnt fries that were just dumped in the bag with no care. Also not sure what goop what all over the honey mustard pack but it had the consistency of snot.

The Wendy’s in Gastonia NC on the corner of Franklin and New Hope needs to decide what time they are opening. Sign says 6:30am but usually it is closer to 7am. During lunch the drive thru takes for ever. They only take 1or 2 orders at a time. I love Wendy’s but not sure how much longer we can put up with this!

Doors were open, went inside, the guy said dining room is closed, we only have drive through. This is 7 PM on a Friday. So I went to the drive through, but nobody would answer. Whole line of cars waiting behind me, nobody working the drive thru. I don’t know who is paying these guys to run the restaurant, but whoever it is they’re getting ripped off.
