Navigating Atlanta’s culinary scene in search of exceptional lobster at a reasonable price can indeed be challenging. I chose this restaurant based on promising reviews, particularly those highlighting the lobster tail. However, the experience was markedly disappointing. While the Rockin Special seasoning on the broccoli, potatoes, and corn offered a palatable kick, the lobster tail, eggs, and red velvet cake were uniformly dry and overcooked.
Given the restaurant’s vibrant ambiance, engaging staff, and positive reviews, the subpar food quality was unexpected. Perhaps the in-house dining experience differs significantly, or maybe this was simply an off night.
Regardless, the meal did not justify the expense, leaving me hesitant to return without significant improvements in food quality.

Went here Saturday to celebrate my Brother’s 59th Birthday. I was not going to come due to drive from Lawrenceville, but I made it. I enjoyed the evening. My wife ordered a boil with shrimp, potatoes, corn, and egg. I had the fried shrimp basket. The shrimp were nice sized, and good. I wished the fries would have been more consistent in size, one was a half fry, another a whole, then some were just pieces. But I still had a good time and enjoyed it. My Niece did karaoke, and then they had a game trying to hit the drum on a Whitney Houston song. So it was a lot of fun. I would recommend you check them out. Our waitress Jhaniy was awesome.

Second time having a problem at this establishment. I came back again hoping for a better experience. Things started off great and then fastly went south to hell. I came out to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and my 80 year old mother took a liking to this place. But, as I stated things turned bad fast. I felt rushed to eat as the waitress came to pack us up as I was still eating and drinking, she brought the check over and another attendant came over and said we had to leave as we are only given two hours all while the guest in front of us was their before us and no one has gone to their table since I’ve been harassed to leave. My meal ticket was $252.00. Smh this is a never again experience…. The question should be why is the manager appearing to be not entirely sober….. as he was the last time I was here. Good food, yes!!! Overall experience horrible…I did speak with the manager whom I thought was going to fall over on me….smh
Attendant came over and said we will be charged $50 if we didn’t leave, I am never about breaking rules or being disrespectful or disruptive so we left. Out of respect, I will not post the photos of the manager in question

Please see attached: in photos, another person was there during the time I was for a Valentine’s as well and a minor child was given an alcoholic drink that should have been a virgin drink and the manager never came to her table…..she stated he was at the bar. thankful the child alerted her grandmother that the drink tasted funny, please read her comments.

The food was decent. I ordered a fried basket, with shrimp and wings with the rockin sauce. I also ordered a side of corn on the cob with mild seafood boil sauce. The wings were great, the sauce really set them off. I highly recommend the wings with the rockin sauce. The fried shrimp was also delicious. My friend ordered thw fried catfish and said it wasn’t good. My sister ordered a seafood boil and stated it was good. I would return for the food, but not the service. Our waiter didn’t write anything down and forgot some things on our order, she even went missing at one point and we had to ask another server for some things we were missing. Our server wanted to blame it on the kitchen, but it was because she forgot to put it in. Overall, the food is good, the service needs improvement.

I have debated on writing this review because quite honestly, it was kind of embarrassing. However, I couldn’t get the incident out of my head, so I feel I should definitely speak up.

I went to this location with a bunch of coworkers. Our server’s name was “RYJAH”. Medium brown skin, short hair, and short in stature.

“Ryjah” took my coworkers’ orders with no problem and was very helpful. When she came to me, I told her what I wanted: a pound of shrimp and a pound of sausage with my crab boil. She hesitated and said “are you sure?” Confused, I said, “yes”. She explained to me that it was “a lot of food”, because a pound of shrimp was already a lot and adding a pound of sausage would be a lot. Mind you, this was my first time here, and I’m not quite understanding what she’s implying here. I’m thinking there was a limit on how much you could have with the boil, or something like that. No. That wasn’t the case.

“Ryjah” took all of my coworkers’ orders with no problem, and some of them ordered items that amounted to way more than what I got (no judgment), yet she ONLY commented on the food that I ordered.

I was the tallest woman there, and I wouldn’t say that I’m fat per se, but regardless, I felt she was shaming me and targeting me. I don’t know why, as like I said, she did no such thing to anyone else at the table who had what I had or even more, but she came directly at me with comments about my order. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE? I’m paying for what I order; you get your money! So why did she care about what I ordered?

In conclusion, it was a little embarrassing, awkward, and very uncomfortable. I don’t want to return to this location if she’s still working there.

I would have loved to give 5 stars based off our 1st time experience as well as our 2nd time visiting. However, when it came to the food, I had to clean my shrimp as I ate, so I gave it 3 stars…As far as the crawfish it definitely should be marinated overnight due to the overall lack of taste if you will. My Electric Lemonade was on point from the bartender, and my waiter Yamir, was EXCELLENT!!! We were celebrating a birthday and although he may have weathered the storm with another parent attending; I have to say when it came to his service with us, he did an AMAZING job. Often times most complain or show a very unpleasant behavior towards their server even when someone is trying their best as well as their hardest…With that being said, it was on my heart to make sure to let the manager know upon leaving as well as through a phone call the following day how wonderful Yamir’s service was and I appreciated his “GENUINE HOSPITALITY!!!”

I went to this location today to take my granddaughter on a pre valentines “date”. I ordered a drink for myself and a VIRGIN mango daiquiri for her. When the drinks arrived my grandaughter drank her drink and said Granma taste this. Immediately I knew it had alcohol in it. I got the attention of the server and I’m assuming the floor manager and asked her to taste it. She agreed and sent it back to the bar,she asked the server what type of garnish did it have. Long story short,they gave me another drink that looked totally different and taste different (definitely virgin). The floor manager came to my table and said she would remove the drink from my bill. At nooooo point did the actual manager come to my table,who made the drink because he was behind the bar. I asked for him to come to the table,he wasn’t aware that the drink that was made wrong was for a child and still only offered to take the drink off the tab. Paying was not the issue but I honestly think something else should have been done for something that could have potentially been dangerous if my granddaughter had not brought it to my attention. It’s no way that was a reasonable accommodation for their careless mistake.

I recently had one of the worst experiences at Rocking Crabs Restaurant. I made a reservation for a party of 30 people to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday. When we arrived, the general manager had already given away one of our reserved tables, so part of our group was forced to sit separately.

Things only got worse from there. During our meal, staff members—including the general manager and assistant manager—watched our group the entire time, treating us like we had done something wrong. We were then accused of taking an extra seafood dish that the waitress herself brought out by mistake. No one in my party received or ate that plate, yet they still tried to make me pay for it.

Both managers handled the situation rudely and unprofessionally, completely ruining what was supposed to be a special celebration for my son. The experience was disrespectful, uncomfortable, and unacceptable. I will never return to this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone looking for good service or a welcoming environment.
