Spent a perfect afternoon at Hollywood Beach and then crossed over to the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar.
The location couldn’t be better — right across from the beach, with views of the Intracoastal and a front-row seat for the sunset.
We enjoyed ice-cold beers, refreshing margaritas, and classic comfort bites like nachos, wings, and sliders — all exactly what you want after a beach day.
The highlight, though, was Ashley, the bartender/manager. She brought the whole experience together with her humor, energy, and attentive service. Drinks were quick, conversation was lively, and she made us feel right at home. Big shoutout to Ashley for making the visit memorable!

The Grilled Mahi Sandwich is simply unique one of the best I’ve ever had in my life.
The fried calamari, honestly, did not live up to the rest of the experience.

Nice spot with a relaxed vibe. I had the mahi sandwich and it was very good. Appreciated that they had Pibb soda. The staff was friendly and lively without being over the top. Overall, a solid place and I’d go back.

We came a few months ago and had to come back, this time it’s a solid 5 stars! The view is unbeatable, right on the canal with nonstop action from jet skis and boats. Service was top-notch and the food hit the spot. Highly recommend the Peel and Eat Shrimp (fresh and flavorful) and the Po’ Boy Tacos, which were absolutely delicious. Perfect place to enjoy a relaxed lunch with a cold beer in hand and just soak in the waterfront vibe. Great energy, chill crowd, and definitely one of the best spots in the area.

A really fun place right in the intercostal waterway. The food and drinks were all really good! We stayed across the street at the Margaritaville resort don’t was just as easy as crossing the street to get here. The corn dip was amazing, margaritas were great as well.

We had a lunch on a sunny afternoon. There is a section of the restaurant with sand and high table, with a view of the canal and the boats passing by. I also had the chance to see 2 stingrays jumping out of the water. The meal was very good. The service and size of the plates were generous. The server was nice and polite.

This was such a vibe! I only came here for a quick beer before ending my day and it was a great choice! What an amazing vibe, the bonfire, boat rides, connect four and corn hole and OF COURSE the waterfront VIEW! I will be visiting again and will be ordering food.

Traffic is frustrating and roads are confusing in this area so when I saw this place while unable to find our actual destination, I called an audible and we went here.
Easy paid lot next door and larger paid garage across the street. Basic beach adjacent bar. It isn’t actually on the beach. But most of the tables are on sand. The actual bar is on the inland river and there isn’t a great sunset view.
But it was convenient. The food was good. The fish and chips fish was massive. The coleslaw was well made and fresh. The mahi sandwich was good. The coconut shrimp was good but not great. Prices were reasonable for a waterfront bar. Staff were awesome. Rosa was great. The gentleman who brought our food was great.
I definitely recommend this even though it wasn’t our initial plan.
