Huey’s has been bringing Blues, Brews, & Burgers in Memphis since 1970. Perhaps the most unique characteristics of our locations are the graffiti walls, hometown feel and local live music. Our World Famous Huey burgers have been voted Best Burger in Memphis since 1984. Sundays at Huey’s are traditionally known for live music, including jazz, blues and even a little rock from local and regional groups. At the example of the late Thomas Boggs, Huey’s former owner, giving back to the community is one of our top priorities. We are proud to have donated many hours, monetary support and services for countless community organizations, schools, and nonprofits over the years.
Laid-back tavern for beer, pub grub & specialty hamburgers; open late, with live music.

My servers are always super nice at most of the Hueyes locations. I never have a problem with my service , but if I do not go to the poplar location in east Memphis , my food is always poor quality. It’s to the point where I can only drink at all the other locations because somehow my food always comes out with something wrong . When I ask for no pickle in the other location I never get a pickle , everywhere else even when I say no pickle I still get that pickle touching my chicken sandwich. And I hateeee that so much , I hate pickles. This specific time the pickle was still on my plate , as well as the chicken in my sandwich was overly cooked. Not burned but it felt like it was tossed in the microwave after already being cooked. Highly disappointed. I just never say anything bc it’s gonna take me longer to wait on a manager and I just look like somehow who doesn’t want to pay for their food which is far from truth. I just asked for my ticket and left .

During a trip to the Memphis-area, decided to stop here to eat lunch. I have eaten at the other locations and they always seem to cook a good burger. There was plenty of parking and I was seated immediately upon entering the establishment. They do not offer combos with most entrees that many other restaurants offer so you order your entree, side, and drink separately.
I ordered onion rings and fried mushrooms for starters and they were good. The onion rings are quite big so you may want to take that into account. My go-to is usually the Sunshine burger and that is what I ordered during my dine-in, with a side of tater tots. The burger was good and cooked as ordered. The tots were not as crisp as I would have preferred but still good.
Overall, good restaurant and I would return to it if in the area.

It’s fairly expensive for a burger and Philly steak at around $35 with one side of regular tater tots, no drinks, gratituity added at 18%
However it’s conveniently located next to a hotel the Holiday inns and suites. The Philly cheese steak tasted good however the hostess from which I ordered my food when asked how big the Philly steak was she held her hands out like it was really big so I didn’t order a side but had I known it was going to be a 6-in sub I probably would have or ordered something else to fill me up. The burger looks like something you would get at a normal fast food joint not really anything special and I’m sorry to say it because I went to this restaurant to try and give it a good review and even though I took my order to go and only stepped in the front this was my experience. When my order arrived I asked for extra napkins, ketchup, fork, knife, and mustard; the hostess begrudgingly obliged my request.
This was May 31st 2025 around 7:00 p.m. for reference. I gave the atmosphere of four Stars because we didn’t eat inside and from what I could see it looks like a bar and restaurant. Judge for yourself from the pictures I took of the menu in the food.

The food was delicious . Our server was pretty slow and spacey . The older lady bartender was less than friendly . The guy delivering food and bussing tables was awesome. He was very friendly , probably the most friendly there. I sure hope some of the automatic gratuity goes to him because he did more than our actual .

Great juicy burgers that never disappoint no matter the location. My wife and I had the Bluff City burgers. Absolutely great burgers! They did not offer a gluten free bun but she did not miss the bun with a burger with this much flavor. My oldest son had the A1 burger and loved every bite. We ordered the onion rings to split and they were massive! The pic just doesn’t do justice on how large they actually are. Great service and knowledgeable waitress.

My favorite restaurant hands down and only this location-Winchester.. Food is always prepared right, fresh, hot and Jennifer is THE BEST server! She anticipates all your needs and once she learns your order and what you like, it’s immediate floor to table service. I’ve been to other locations but no one does it like the Winchester crew!

I moved away from Memphis years ago but on a visit back, we decided to go to the Huey’s at Winchester off IH385, for a good burger. My buddy enjoyed his World Famous Huey Burger with sweet potato fries. I really enjoyed my Bluff City Burger, cooked med rare, to perfection! I was really excited to see that they offered a side of tasty onion straws, just like the mound Cheddars removed from their menu. Emma was a good waitress and her supervisor made a point to check on us to be sure everything was good. I can’t wait to come back to Memphis and return to Huey’s!

Excellent “Tennessee Tea” crisp, well fried steak fries and a melty, cheesey, flavorful Philly Cheesesteak on soft buns presented by a waitress that was lightfooted, professional and well above and beyond your average server. The atmosphere is fun (even though the majority of screens are sports) and the energy upbeat but not overbearing.
