Amazing time celebrating a birthday, the staff were all so kind and welcoming, wrote a little happy birthday note, gave us a “birthday cake” of tuna on rice, and made our experience a great one! The fish is the best I’ve had in Boston and I will 100% be coming back – the prices really aren’t bad for the quality of fish you’re getting and if you space it out and listen to recommendations of your server you will leave full and happy! The only thing to note is downstairs it was very very quiet which I think is a nice ambiance for the sushi bar but also could hear other peoples conversations, so maybe turning the music up a little bit downstairs! Could’ve been because it was a Tuesday night and more of a chill vibe though. Overall 10/10 experience 🙂

Sushi @ Temple Records is an absolute gem. The service was flawless from start to finish, and the music and ambiance didn’t miss. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the sheer variety and quality of fish is unmatched – even compared to top-tier sushi spots in NYC and LA, where we were visiting from. And the chef: Boston is lucky to have talent of this caliber. A world-class experience worth every bite.

Excellent food! Chef Kenta served his creation one by one with the omakase menu. It was a very special experience. Would recommend to lengthen the service a bit as it was super fast and done within an hour. Definitely worth a try!

We just visited sushi@Temple records for the first time. The quality of the sushi was incredible, but the customer service was especially a stand out.

We were celebrating a milestone birthday, so everyone from the hostess to the waitress to the sushi chefs wished my husband a happy birthday and made sure we were taken care of.

The variety of sushi options are impressive. While we are regular sushi diners and have eaten at some of the best in the world, it’s rare to see the breath of sushi as we saw here. In fact we tried a few that we’d never had before (e.g. Sayori). I called in advance to check on some dietary restrictions and they were very kind to accommodate, and had prepared in advance as we discussed. The music here is a standout and the overall ambiance was perfect for an intimate sushi dinner.

One of our favorite parts was chatting with the chef and learning about his recommendations. They ended the night with a special sushi dessert on the house for my husband’s birthday!

I came in with high expectations after hearing so much about this place—it’s tough to find good sushi in Boston, and friends had recommended it. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment.

The service was excellent, and the quality of the ingredients, as well as the interior design, were all on point. There were two chefs working at the sushi counter, and it seemed we just happened to get the trainee for our entire meal. I noticed the same knife being used across different cuts of sashimi without being cleaned, which mixed the flavors. The chef also seemed nervous and lacked confidence—understandable for someone still in training, but not ideal for a high-end restaurant.

That said, the snapper was excellent—fresh, well-prepared, and definitely the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the rolls were loosely packed, with the rice falling apart as soon as we picked them up. We ended up leaving early and trying another place instead.

I’ll give it some time and maybe come back in a year or two—hopefully, the skills and consistency will have improved by then.

The sushi, atmosphere and service is excellent here. The pacing was just right, servers were available and friendly and I will dream about the sushi. My cousin did the ordering, but the tuna, bonito and sea urchin were particularly memorable. And the octopus!!! The decor is also lovely and we ordered cocktails from upstairs. Highly recommend.

We came in on a rainy night for dinner downstairs at the sushi bar, and Bianca greeted us so warmly right away! We were seated quickly, and our server was incredibly friendly. It was my birthday dinner, and the chef surprised me with a beautiful rice cake topped with tuna and a birthday card signed by the whole team such a thoughtful touch!

The sushi was phenomenal honestly, the best I’ve had in a long time. After dinner, Bianca invited us to check out the bar and gave us a little tour of the connected restaurant next door. The vinyl music playing created such a great vibe that we decided to stay for drinks, which were excellent.

To top it all off, Bianca surprised me again with a small birthday treat that was so thoughtful and kind. The bartenders were awesome dylan and john made amazing cocktails, and we ended up having great conversations with them.

The atmosphere, the food, the people everything was perfect. Truly one of the best birthday nights I’ve had!
