Social Profile:

Kayo’s specializes in a clear-broth ramen and NOT tonkotsu-style ramen which you’ll find at most other ramen shops. Ours is a clear, refined broth, made in-house daily using only the finest ingredients, with no MSG, additives or preservatives. Our chashu is made in-house as well. We feature traditional ramen like Shoyu, Shio, Miso and TanTan (our most popular).

Clever vegan & meat-centric noodles plus beer, wine & sake served in an intimate, informal interior.

Cozy little ramen shop with outdoor seating. Delilah and Kierian were so fun to chat with they made the experience even better! Also, most of the menu items have vegan options, which is delightful. It was pleasantly busy and warm, making it a nice stop for a cold winter night.

The food itself was good, not the best vegan ramen I’ve had but I still liked the uniqueness of the seasonal shredded daikon dish. The ginger garlic bowl was fantastic, with the garlic sticky rice at the bottom had the texture of risotto. Chefs kiss!!

The ramen at Kyo’s Ramen was fantastic! I ordered the Tan Tan, and the broth was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The noodles were fresh and perfectly cooked. The Tan Tan comes with creamy sesame paste, chili, and Sichuan peppercorns, topped with seasoned ground pork — I added an extra topping, and it was great. The dish was light yet filling, and every bite was satisfying. Highly recommend if you’re craving a flavorful, comforting bowl of ramen!

Ramen place has tacos and they are legit ! Had the Tan Tan ramen, rich broth and great flavor. Service was great both the staff were so helpful and joyful. Its so refreshing to go to any establishment and have the employees smiling and so helpful and they act like they want to be there. We will definitely come back. Sorry no pic of ramen because i smashed it! *SECRET: OMG try the Cheesecake and thank me later!

My daughter and I came from Newport, Oregon for a docs appointment, and were hungry after. We stumbled onto Kayo’s Ramen. We now get to look forward to the next docs appointment so we can come here!!! Staff is Incredible as well. We’re so happy right now!

I often have a hard time finding places w flavorful tofu. Had the tofu rice bowl. It was delicious and full of flavor! I did half garlic rice and half plain rice. I had leftovers, so I do appreciate they use biodegradable bowls too.

My wife and I got Raman and coke. We both really liked what we ordered. I was glad they had a gluten-free option. The folks working were really nice and got our soup to us quickly. They also bussed our table even though they have those self-bus stations. We’ll be back to this one!

Great food, great service. The ramen and rice bowls are both fantastic, I always have a hard time deciding. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The matcha was also lovely.

Definitely come for for the interesting ramens and the potstickers. This place also has a fun gimmick of serving tacos that are sort of traditional Mexican fused with something vaguely Asian, and I must say that I am less excited about the tacos than the other food. The crispy and sort of carnitas-style pork in the tacos is quite good as a start. But overall the Taco offerings are flat. How so? There is just no exciting burst of flavor. There needs to be a bit more spice, a bit more depth of flavor, a bit more crunch, a bit more acid, a bit more juiciness. And I will give this place points for having tons of vegan options. This review is being suppressed for some reason.

Honestly I never do this, but this was some of the worst ramen I’ve had in Portland. Last time I ate here my boyfriend got really sick. It looked like they changed things recently, a new look, maybe new owners so I decided to give it another try. I couldn’t even finish it, which I also never do. The noodles were congealed together, broth was super chalky and left a film in my mouth, the “free toppings” were like three pieces of each thing and they also play the most maddening music louder than you can hear yourself think. Tbh I have not been feeling well since I left. Just be weary, not at all worth $19 (after tip)

This has literally been a favorite for my entire family for many years. We just recently moved to deep Gresham, and we still make the drive as often as we can and enjoy every second of it knowing we’re going to eat Kayos.
