Second time I’ve loaded up the car with kids just to be disappointed. Second they were out of the menu item I drove to frischs just for pumpkin cake. Luckily we have options in independence. Just got these crispy chicken strios for $7.99. They are neither crispy nor are they strips. Barely bigger than a chicken nugget. McD’s are cheaper and bigger. Never again!

Upon entering this location, I couldn’t help but notice the disgusting carpet that looks like it has never been cleaned-ever. The grease actually transferred onto my shoes, making them slippery. Neither soup was good at the bar. They have changed the iconic vegetable soup for some odd reason. It’s now thick and tastes different. The corn chowder tasted like canned corn. Thankfully I ordered a fish sandwich so I had something else to eat. The fish sandwich was fresh-except the lettuce. The server was pleasant in spite of the atmosphere she was working in. This is a prime location too. There seems to be no excuse for how it has gone so far downhill since it opened.

Very poor service!! And the food was not great. Fries came out cold and burnt. They tasted like they were very old and refried. The waitress did not return with the replacement fries until we were walking out the door. We got no drink refills!

The service was extremely slow last night and there were only 5 tables occupied in the whole restaurant but only one girl serving, i think she was the hostess too and I wouldn’t t be surprised if she did the cooking too. We ordered our food and my daughter’s pancakes were missing from her dinner. She received very chewy bacon that she couldn’t chew and some scrambled eggs. I also didn’t receive ketchup or tartar sauce that I had ordered with my food. It literally took an hour to get my daughter her pancake and the waitress forgot my ketchup and tartar sauce. I had to wait even longer. Meantime my burger and fries are cold, so I asked her to reheat them. That took another long while. My youngest daughter and husband were done eating their dinner long before my older daughter and I even were able to start eating. It was a very disappointing night.
When I went to pay the guy in front of me paying was upset too with his service and he gave me the rest of his coupons for a kids’ meal and he said he is never coming back. My daughter said we’re never coming back either. Which is the truth. I don’t know what happened to Frisch’s. It used to be a nice family restaurant when I was a kid. Not anymore. No wonder all the Frisch’s are closing in the tri state area. This one will probably be next. They just don’t care about their customer service at all. It’s actually very sad.

This is a 18$ meal. Very disappointing. Combo meal. No exaggeration- 18$ and some change. Burnt fries that were actually cool. Sandwich was super small.
