Meaning that I do not give out good reviews for Sushi unless deserving. Ichiban serves High Quality Sushi!! 5 Stars for sure!
We went in on a Friday evening and the place had a steady stream of customers.
They also have a dining area that is larger than most places, along with a staff of at least 12 people that we saw.
We had Miso Soup, Salads, a Yum Yum Roll and a Rock N Roll. Both Excellent!
Ichiban had the highest google rating on the Sushi restaurants in the area and that is why we chose it. So I am doing my part and keeping their rating high.

LOVE this place sm! The service is always so nice, and the food so so good. Fish is so fresh, flavors are always there. You can tell how much thought is put into every dish, I can not express how much i recommend this place for anybody.

The Sushi, is just great. Some of the rolls sound weird but are good. The surf and turf roll has some fruit, which sounds weird, but it tastes great. It was decently easy to find parking though, it really doesn’t have its own parking. One of the most surprising rolls was the surf and turf. I tried it for the fun of it sounding weird but it was great. It really was filling, and it hit all the right spots. The service was great, and the waiters are very nice. It is one of the best Japanese restaurants I have been to. While it looks small from outside, it is very large on the interior, and the decor is great. I have been to quite a few sushi restaurants, and this is the best, plus, it is less than a mile from my house. From the delicious food to the great service to the beautiful atmosphere, this place is overall great. Thank you, kind waiters. Oh, they also give you free deep fried tempura oreos and vanilla ice cream on your birthday.

Always love going to Ichiban. I am in there once every week or 2 for sushi and salad after work. I have not disliked any rolls I’ve tried yet. Very reasonable prices and friendly staff.

This is our third visit. Everyone is always extra kind and attentive. Caiden was prompt greeting us and getting our drink order and food order. Food quality has been good every visits. We especially like the Hibachi lunch specials. This is one of the best restaurants in Springfield.

I have been eating here since they opened and they never disappoint. The sushi is great and the hibachi is too! The staff is friendly. The owner, Calvin, is a super nice guy. He always remembers me, seems very glad to see me again, and never fails to ask about my daughter. I wouldn’t expect a small town like Springfield to have sushi this good, but yet they do! Great sushi, friendly staff and a hometown feel. If you like sushi, you’ll love Ichiban!

Birthday lunch was great. The owners are friendly. The servers are great. Beth in particular is the definition of customer service. We have never have a bad experience here. Ichiban is the only place to get sushi and hibachi. The food and service is always great. Great prices also. If you’ve not tried it you’re missing out.

The food was so delicious and we got seated immediately on a Friday evening! Plum wine, sushi and hibachi food without the hibachi chef in front of you. Highly recommend this place.
