Taste of Italy delivers high-quality food, and you can taste it in every bite. Portion sizes are generous, whether you’re getting slices, a full pie, or a calzone, and the pricing is very fair for the quality you’re getting. Nothing feels skimpy or rushed here. The best pizza option in Goodyear and a spot we’ll keep coming back to. The owner is also very kind!

Came here for lunch today. The reviews caught my eye; as did the menu showing Stuffed Shells. It’s not far from Surprise, and easy to get to. Entering the restaurant one will find it clean; a bit of a challenge to move about and find a seat; and not a true sit-down and dine-in restaurant. Customers place their orders at the counter, pay, and the staff brings your meal to you. I ordered the Stuffed Shells. They come with a salad, and Italian bread and butter. To drink I went with a large fountain drink. They have Coca-Cola products. The restaurant had some business, and is a bit loud with TVs and customers conversing. My salad came and was fine. It had black olives, red onions, and sliced tomatoes with the lettuce. For dressing I chose their creamy Italian. The bread was great. It was warm, had a nice crust, soft texture inside, and tasted very good. The entree came, and at first the aroma wasn’t very appealing. But once I began cutting into the dish the pasta was cooked just right – el dente – with a great cheese filling, flavorful marinara sauce, and mozzarella cheese… a lot… so much that it was hard to tell if there were three shells or four. I noticed that they serve pizza by the slice. I ordered a slice to try; adding sausage for a topping. The crust was very good. After that I can only say that it would have been more enjoyable with a little more sauce; more cheese; and instead of sliced pieces of sausage… remove the casing and pinch off pieces of the Italian sausage. Why do some pizzerias slice their sausage I will never understand. It’s not like pepperoni. The restrooms are clean. One walks down the corridor to the back past the many pizza boxes stored against the wall on the right. The men’s room was under some repairs with a broken urinal. Parking is in a Mall setting. As nice as it is outside I’d ask if they would ever consider tables and chairs outside? I will certainly return as I loved good pasta. Definitely give them a try if you live nearby. It should not disappoint.

Got the chicken parm, used to be cooked fresh.. tonight I got something that tasted like it came out of a box. The chicken was so flat and dry. I don’t even know how to explain the breading… only to say it was gross see pictures below it is the brown stuff hanging on my fork.

Went here for the first time off a friend’s recommendation. Was not disappointed and we will be back to try more options. We had cheese pizza and meat raviolis. Both exceeded my expectations. The marinara on the ravioli was fresh and delightful. I don’t know if the owner was there, but a gentleman was very friendly talking with the patrons that seemed to be regulars.

The employees and myself LOVE this place. We have ordered several items for the past year and a half and its always been a 10 out of 10. Always consistent and when you order with extra sauce, you will get extra sauce. A++

They finally did it. They got too expensive for me to justify spending so much for a meal.
It’s sad to write them off. They are a great family place with great food. They are so much better than corporate pizzerias. I love their spaghetti and meatballs, and strombolis. They are delectable, but I just can’t pay $20 for them. They need to make the servings smaller to lower their prices. I hate to say it, but it looks like they will suffer the same fate as other restaurants in that plaza.
Please consider doing something before it’s too late, Taste of Italy;

I’m a blue collar worker working right down the street from this place, I heard great things and I definitely wasn’t disappointed, tv and sports was on, the pizza was really good with a good crunchy crust, and the wings were really good as well. They were busy but even then they were pretty quick to bring out our food. Over all good vibes and good food

Absolutely unprepared. I normally come and enjoy the food, and the front staff are nice. But they are absolutely unprepared to stay consistent, as a corporate manager, I’m not sure I have ever seen a business plan to take the phone off the hook so nobody can place an order. You do what is necessary to accommodate your base customers. After 12 hours at work, looking forward to a pizza, but can’t place an order and forcing you to drive all the way there then sitting and waiting for an hour plus for food. So to say I’m extremely disappointed is an understatement, but, I enjoy the food so here I am. Maybe it’s time to take business elsewhere and the business plan is to cut off half their customers. Really disappointed because I liked their food but, just as I run my staff, do what you have to do to fulfill all of your customers when they look for a consistent customer excellence, not excuses.

Taste of Italy is an incredible restaurant that doesn’t get nearly enough attention. We decided to order from them on Halloween — which, as anyone knows, can be chaos when it comes to getting pizza. I was fully prepared for the usual holiday headache: long waits, backed-up lines, or cold food by the time you get it.
But not here! Even though we already love this place, I was a little hesitant about how fast and efficient they’d be on such a busy day. We placed an order for four pizzas and twenty wings at 4:00 PM, and by 4:30 PM everything was hot, fresh, and ready for pickup — perfectly on time.
The best part? The food was amazing. All night long, our friends and family kept raving about the pizza and wings, asking where we got them. The flavor, the freshness, the quality — everything was spot-on.
Needless to say, I think we’ve officially retired from ordering at the big chain pizza joints. Taste of Italy has definitely earned our loyalty!

My five star review is based on what available locally as far as pizza. It can be hard to find to find a New York style pizza around here for a decent price. I thought the pizza was good. The amount of cheese and sauce was sufficient. I think a New York pizza could be just a little thinner. If I was back home I think I would rate this pizza a 4/5 but for what is available around the area it’s really a grand slam deal. Most pizzas for a cheese around here go atleast $25. I was able to get the large for $19. Can’t really beat that and quality of pizza could have easily been worth charging more. I would get this pizza again for sure. It’s an affordable delicious pizza. Best I’ve had since living in Arizona for sure.
