My wife and I had an amazing experience at Mariachi’s Mexican Cuisine in Kauai!
The food was absolutely delicious, with bold flavors and generous portions.
We were especially impressed by the variety of veggie options, which were fresh and satisfying. The staff went above and beyond—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal.
We’ll definitely be returning next time we’re on the island!

Finding good Mexican food on Kauai was a pleasant surprise! The portions were huge, food was very fresh and satisfying. I got the mahi mahi + shrimp chimichanga and it was stuffed with sooo much fresh seafood!
Beans and rice were fresh and well seasoned and was happy to get a side of guacamole with it all too. Can’t beat a 22oz beer option as well!!

Pretty typical American Mexican restaurant. Food was good and served fast. The chips were thicker than I am accustomed to but we’re tasty. I am sure there are better food options on Kauai but if you have a hankering for American Mexican with a good atmosphere, Mariachi’s is the place to go.

Food was great! Ordered the mahi taco salad and the kids nachos and both were great! Also had the fried ice cream! Delish! Super fun atmosphere as well! Good walking distance to other things and right by the beach where all the surfers are!

We have been here many times over the past six years. But this time was different the vibe of the staff the service was horrible this food was ok. Party of 8 four tables, we had to asked for chips and salsa multiple times, when it finally came they gave us two small baskets of chips for 8 people, when we asked for more chip they said it would be a 6.50 charge with no refills WHAT? We all ordered our food, when it came one of our group order fajitas and only got two tortillas when questioned about the tortillas that they were splitting and only got two for the Hugh plate of food they said it would be a charge for more, again WHAT? Service was not on point when we asked about the issues there no response or give on it. They have lost loyal customer please change your policy we are here to eat and enjoy this beautiful island.

It passed the California Texas Mexican food quality test. I wanted spicy guacamole and since they made it fresh they added serrano pepper to it which is perfect. Then they gave us spicy sauces that could be added to anything for added level of spiciness. $30 for 5 mini tacos is on the pricier end though. People raved about the mahi mahi but it wasn’t extraordinary to me. It’s fresh sure but nothing worth noting. So quality, freshness, services, and customization are the place’s best features. Otherwise, it’s overpriced for the portion they give. But being a Mexican restaurant on an island that beats some I know of in Boston then they win. Outdoor seating with ocean view and pleasant breeze is a bonus.

We had a table of eight at Mariachi’s in Lihue, and everything about our experience was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and efficient — our food came out quickly, even with a large group. The steak fajitas and chimichangas were absolute must-tries — packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. Everyone at the table loved their meals.
The atmosphere was warm and lively, making it a great spot for both families and friends to enjoy lunch. Overall, Mariachi’s is an amazing restaurant with delicious food, excellent service, and a great environment. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in Lihue

This place deserves a 4.6 rating. Best Mexican we have had our of all the islands. The best salsa and spicy salsa.Husband loved his fajitas and I ate all five tacos ( mind you I usually only eat two) We definitely will be back!!!
