We make all of our sauce and dough from scratch and hand toss all of our pizzas and calzones. We still use the original seasoned gas ovens from the 60’s.

Big Ed’s Pizza has been part of my life since childhood when I ate at the second location in Oakridge,Tennessee and I even remember meeting Big Ed Neusel himself. The Huntsville restaurant carries on his legacy perfectly! After Back to the Future: The Musical this weekend, I ordered a pizza close to closing and they still treated me like family. Fresh, hot, and packed with all the classic toppings. The staff even made sure I had everything for my return trip back to Birmingham. Big thanks to Steve and his son and family for keeping the tradition alive!

I recently visited Big Ed’s Pizza and was thoroughly impressed. The white pizza was rich and flavorful, while the Italian pie offered a delightful blend of traditional tastes. Their unique pizza combinations showcase creativity and a deep understanding of flavor profiles. The atmosphere combines a sports bar vibe with Italian-American charm, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. The service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. The building’s exterior has a nostalgic, old-timey feel with a modern twist, adding to its unique character. I look forward to returning to explore more of their inventive pizza offerings.

We were recommended this place by friends. We arrived at 6:30 and the place was somewhat crowded. It took over 25 minutes for the server to get us drinks and another 15 minutes to take our order. My wife got a 12 inch pepperoni pizza and I got a calzone. My calzone was fantastic but my wife said she’s had better frozen pizza before. On a side note they have the best Blue Cheese in Huntsville.

My wife and I visited yesterday afternoon around 5pm. It’s a cool place that been around for over 60 years. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. We had a couple of beers along with some fried mushrooms. The pizza was the meat-licous. Everything was cooked perfectly and was flavorful.

Great pizza, the crust was crispy and crunchy but not burnt. Pizza sauce was pretty good also, not to salty like a few other places in town. Once we ordered pizza came out pretty quickly and our service was great. Unique interior, friendly staff and great pizza. We will be back for sure.

Walked in and the delicious aroma met us at the door. Place was clean and had plenty of flat screens. Cheese sticks were perfectly cooked and disappeared fast. I had never enjoyed an Italian sandwich pizza before but it was amazing. Spicy chicken had just the right amount of heat. Service was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Their garlic knots are amazing! The pizza was really good, my boys can’t wait to go back. We had no wait to sit down on a week night around 5:30. The service was a bit slow ( on refills) but everyone was kind and polite. We will definitely come back.

Big Ed’s was a pure delight to spend some time at and order up a great pizza! Beer selection was great! Staff was extremely friendly, even ended up talking with the cook that day since it wasn’t super busy at that moment! Oh and get the Fried Pepperoni with HotGarlic/Ranch mixed together, you won’t regret it!

I took my daughters to Big Ed’s pizza on Saturday. I’ve driven by and always seen the interestingly shaped building but never visited. This place is popular with the locals — I called to order pickup one tike and was quoted 35+ minutes until pizza could be ready so I passed, but this time it was not as busy.

I was prompt seated and had my drink order taken quickly. They had several college football games playing and a large selection of pizzas and beers. You’re going to pay $20 for a 16″ cheese pizza (additional.toppings $2.25) but that’s about on par with other local pizzeria. Their beer prices are pretty cheap if you get a 60 pitcher ($14 for michelobe ultra) and you can buy a souvenir pint glass for $3, which I feel was a great deal.

The room has a large amount of natural light and seemed bright and open, and outdoor seating was available. Our pizza came out quickly and had very nice cheese pull, the crust was perfectly done and thin and toppings came to the very edge of the crust: perfect. Taste was pretty good.

The staff was very polite and friendly and brought my kids coloring pages and crayons and were on the ball for drink refills.

Overall a great local place, definitely give them a shot and as Big Ed says: “Eat and Drink Local!”

Food was great! We ordered a medium 12inch pizza half and half and it was delicious! Crust was crunchy with a perfectly baked dough. Toppings were generous. Pricing was good too.

Service was very friendly and anticipatory. They were fast and friendly.

Atmosphere was themed and clean!
