Our waiter was in fast forward mode and NEVER took time to assist us! Our $11 guacamole appetizer was this small bowl. Our fajita dinner, the “daily special” was shoved in my face, COVERED in peppers and onions and the LITTLE BIT of meat actually on the plate appeared to be the leftover pieces that had been sitting on the grill! Chewy, disgusting and utterly ridiculous!
There’s no salt on the table, our waiter never came back and gave us the opportunity to even ask for salt. We were given three tortillas for two people to eat and were never given the opportunity to ask for butter. He came back one time after he dumped our plates on the table and at that point I was so angry that I didn’t even want to speak to him. I just want to get out of here and never come back.
We are sitting in a booth across from one another and literally cannot have a conversation because it is so loud in here. It’s a beautiful facility and it’s a shame that the staff apparently has better people to wait on that they don’t want to give you the time of day and that they have the audacity to serve scraps.

We visited this restaurant in mentor on a date nite and I was pleasantly surprised ↔️, I ordered the torta birria with street corn and the corn was authentic Mexican street corn, the corn was super fresh and sweet I really enjoyed it , my torta was flavorful and super cheesy and yummy We will definitely return, wish we had one this good in Akron ❤️ . But overall this was a very good delightful experience

Conveniently located right next to our hotel, this spot accomplished my main goal: getting food into my body—and happily, it tasted good too.
I ordered a simple bowl with grilled fish, and it hit the spot. Generous avocado, beans, a bit of greens, all coming together for a fresh and tasty combo. It even came with chips and salsa on the side—nothing to write home about, but perfectly snackable.
The only downside was the service. Staff wasn’t very attentive and could definitely be a little more simpático.
Easy, satisfying food in a convenient spot—just don’t go in expecting warm, welcoming service.

It was a beautiful fall day and the patio was full thanks to the weather and live music. I got one of their seasonal cocktails (a blackberry mule), and it was delicious and full of fresh blackberries. For dinner we got the Ohio Special, a ribeye steak and grilled shrimp with tortillas, rice, beans, and pica de gallo. The steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly and were full of flavor. And our server was very friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be going back.

We have been to Azteca about a dozen times. My favorite food is Mexican and I’m a vegetarian. They have delicious avocado tacos. And good margaritas as well. Very clean, very friendly. They have a nice patio during the warmer weather.

If your Black/African American, please do not go here. It seemed like all the servers were reluctant to serve us. We were basically sat at a table out of the other servers areas, the host was actually our waiter. Never spoke to other servers or acknowledged. Though he was not rude, we could feel the reluctancy of wanting to serve us. The restaurant were filled with white people who look like they were enjoying themselves meanwhile we felt like we were only being taken care of because it’s their jobs. The food was also mid. I had birria tacos plenty of times before, these had no true flavor. While the salsa and rice were decent, we definitely had better at other restaurants. Overall, we still tipped and ate our food but made the decision to never come back. If you’re black and want good Mexican food in the Lake County area, just go to Don Tequila’s. 1000x better food, customer service, and vibes. It’s very upsetting how other minorities treat us when we would never do the same to them.

I came here with my family for my birthday dinner and chose this place based solely off of three peoples word of mouth saying it was excellent food and also that google reviews showing 4.3+ stars with over 1,000 reviews. I’m always looking to explore Mexican restaurants to figure out which is the best in the new areas that I live.
I grew up in El Paso, Texas eating Mexican food most of my younger life and had the opportunity to try Mexican food all over the United States across Florida, Virginia, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, and some places here now in Ohio. This has to of been the least authentic tasting Mexican food I think I can honestly say that i’ve ever had across the states. Taco bell and Chipotle boasts more flavor than this place.
The pinto beans had no flavor whatsoever, the refried beans lacked any flavor, the chipotle chicken was disgusting and tasted like it was pre-frozen cooked chicken with sauce that came out of a bag. My chile relleno was not prepared authentically with egg/egg white batter. It lacked proper roasting and was very crunchy and unpeeled. The cheese inside was proper, but they also drizzled a different white cheese over the top? The salsa tasted like plastic puree. I thought the rice on our dish was the most authentic thing about this place. I would for sure only ever order the rice to go. We also ordered a margarita and a pina colada. The margarita mix was gross, and the pina colada mix was also not that great.
After being severely disappointed I began to look around at the demographic of the customers and realized that it lacked diversity. That should have been the dead giveaway!
I may be sticking to La Casita, La Mexicana and Picante in Painesville for the foreseeable future.

When you walk through the door the Elegance hits you in the face. Very good decorations expensive decorations and looks real good. The service was great the waitress was friendly the chips and salsa was good and Mild had a good flavor. There’s a full-service Cantina. And I ordered a burrito bowl which has authentic organic well definitely fresh avocado and ingredients. Extra napkins were a plus. The only downside would be to get some Splenda in here to increase the Elegance instead of the sweet plus pink packets. They need one or two more diet drinks at least one more diet drink as all they had was Diet coke. But the rest of the restaurant is fantastic. I wouldn’t hesitate coming here again

Ordered a few to go tacos from Azteca which were all pretty good. Food was ready very quick after ordering on the phone. Tacos were pretty good nothing incredible but probably would’ve tasted better had I dined in. Each order came with a side of Mexican rice which was tasty. Chips and salsa were included. Would recommend for the food but I am only giving four stars because I feel the price was a bit steep for tacos. Otherwise everything was good.
