Pretty decent Thai food and they definitely live up to their promise of accommodating dietary restrictions.

Manaw is a standout Thai restaurant in Polanco that delivers beautifully prepared dishes in a vibrant, welcoming setting. Having lived in Thailand for half of last year and eaten Thai food across multiple countries, we came in with high expectations—and Manaw largely met them.

The food is clearly made with care and skill. The dishes are well executed, thoughtfully plated, and full of flavor. You can tell the kitchen understands Thai cooking techniques and flavor layering, from aromatics to sauces. Everything we tried was balanced and enjoyable, with fresh ingredients and confident preparation that shows consistency rather than shortcuts.

If I had one note, it would be that both the dishes and the drinks lean slightly sweet for my personal preference. That said, this may simply reflect how Thai food is commonly adapted in Mexico, and it didn’t take away from the overall quality of the experience. The flavors are still bold, vibrant, and satisfying—just with a touch more sweetness than what we were used to in Thailand itself.

Beyond the food, Manaw truly excels in atmosphere and service. The space is stylish and comfortable, fitting perfectly into the Polanco neighborhood. It’s an easy place to enjoy a relaxed meal or a longer evening out. The service was excellent throughout—attentive, friendly, and professional without feeling intrusive.

Overall, Manaw is a fantastic option for Thai food in Mexico City. Even with the slightly sweeter profile, the quality, atmosphere, and service make it a place we’ll absolutely return to. It’s a polished, enjoyable dining experience that stands out in the area and is well worth a visit.

A great way to see the city skyline! Maybe even the volcanoes on a clear day. Clean, new, a nice ride from los pinos to the cineteca national where you can enjoy a short walk, outdoor exercise equipment, a movie, snack and eat it while under a roof looking through tall trees.

This restaurant is very comfortable and peaceful. I love the plants and architecture. The food is also very good. We had spring rolls and Pad Thai. The Thai tea was also very good.

What a great surprise in Polanco. The restaurant is stunning; it’s truly a spectacular space. Fortunately the Thai food and cocktails were equally impressive.

Very nice place and excellent service. However, the food was totally overpriced for the quality. The Pad Thai was too salty and tasted mainly of soy sauce, which completely overpowered the other flavors.

There were four of us, and the others ordered curry dishes. Unfortunately, the taste was not very delicate either. Don’t get me wrong — it was edible, but for this price you expect much better quality.

My sister brought me there because she had eaten there in the past and really liked it. However, she mentioned that the quality was not as good as it used to be and thought they may have changed the cook.

Previous reviews are right. Food is amazingly delicious. The green curry was almost the same as Thailand. Must try the mango sticky rice. Pad see ew was great for a child and big enough to share. This is now on My Mexico MUST go to restaurants.

I had high expectations for this place, but I left a bit disappointed. The ambiance and service are great, but the food didn’t quite live up to them. Don’t get me wrong — it was okay, just not outstanding. The dishes are overpriced for the portion sizes (my red curry had only four shrimp), and the Thai spices/flavors felt somewhat lacking. Overall, the value for the money just isn’t there.

The food was delicious, with some dishes standing out more than others, and the restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful.

Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food or ambiance. Our waiter seemed either inexperienced or simply not good at his job, struggling to take our order and having clear communication issues in both English and Spanish. The attitude didn’t help either.

What bothered me the most was the outdoor dining setup. In the evening, it gets cold, and while there are multiple heaters visible in the dining area, they claimed they were out of order. Freezing during dinner is far from enjoyable. Management should address this issue to ensure a better experience for their customers.

Overall, great food and a stunning setting, but the service and comfort left a lot to be desired.

First time goers on a recommendation and it was honestly disappointing. Starters: The crab appetizer was overcooked, tasted burnt at the ends and was served dry, had to drag the piece of crab on the plate to get any of the sauce on it. And the second: Wagyu dumplings under seasoned no salt or seasoning.. it tasted of just the wrap and beef.. nothing to highlight the meat…the peanuts we served on the side and not actually considered as a part of bringing texture to the plate, forcing you to make the call and the Soy/sauce dipping saucer served also on the side was doused in sesame oil, overpowering any other flavor. Entree’s:we ordered the chicken pad Thai & And the spicy chicken, coconut, red curry. The chicken Pad Thai was also under seasoned. The noodles were saltier than anything on the dish and the chicken was more like an afterthought thrown in the plate. It didn’t taste like it was infused to the rest of the sauces and flavors. The curry dish had to be the best, but it would have been nice to be offered a level of spice like in traditional Thai places as they served it as is, which I love spice but balanced with the creamy and sweet flavor of the coconut. Which the spice overpowered in my experience. For the price we paid per dish- I’d look at other options. The building is absolutely gorgeous. The architecture and details are mesmerizing, but they missed the mark on the whole point of giving it all into every dish they put out.
