I stopped by Illiano’s Real Italian Pizzeria while in the area with my family. There’s plenty of parking outside, which is always a plus. Inside was well lit, but overall it felt a bit dirty. The bathroom especially was filthy, which definitely set a bad tone. The staff was friendly enough and ordering was easy.
I grabbed a few slices to get a feel for the place. The pepperoni slice was fine, nothing bad but nothing memorable. The buffalo chicken slice was probably the best one. Decent flavor, not the best I’ve had, but okay.
Then came the four cheese slice. Mozzarella, ricotta, blue cheese, and another cheese that was mentioned too fast to catch. Unfortunately, this slice had a piece of hair on it, which was pretty gross. I brought it to their attention and while they did replace it, they didn’t seem overly concerned. The replacement slice was hair free but extremely salty and very blue cheese forward. I couldn’t finish it.
Overall, the food looked better than it tasted. Nothing was terrible, but nothing stood out either. Between the cleanliness issues and the hair situation, I’m not sure I’d come back based on this experience.

We had a fabulous experience here today! The food was amazing, and it was such a neat place to stop. Illiano’s has the best cheese pizza I’ve ever had, and my only regret was only getting a single sllice and not a whole pizza because it was that good.
Plus the staff were so kind and friendly. They took care of all of our needs and were incredibly helpful to us (parents with small children).
My kiddos said the food deserves 100 stars! Then, they asked if we could come back tomorrow so they could try more and different foods. If we didn’t live several states away, we absolutely would.
I can’t wait to tell everyone about this place!

Stopped in after being recommended by the staff at the dinosaur place and it did not disappoint. We had cheese pizza and veggie pizza, fries, garlic knots, and chicken tenders. It was all very good. It was quick and the staff was very good and very nice. Their sauce is so so good, the margarita pizza, we were able to try and it was fantastic! My 6 year old is picky and ate the whole slice of cheese. My mom actually bought some sauce off them to take home (we live over an hour away). Not sure if its house made but its so good. If your in the area its absolutely worth the stop.

This place is amazing! The pizza is excellent and the staff is very friendly. They had the best best pizza crust I’ve ever eaten! My only complaint is I live to far away to visit often otherwise this would be my new favorite place! I highly recommend!

Had an issue with ordering online. Owner reached out via email. While frustration was understandable on my end it was still appreciated that he did reach out. As always the pizza was amazing. Staff was friendly and attentive as they always are. Best Sicilian pizza around.

Illiano’s, by far, is one of the best pizza spots in New London county. The pizza is delicious, flat, New York style pizza. Illiano’s also serves other Italian dishes such as pastas, and the fried chicken is great. The chicken can lack flavor, but if combined with the sauce, it’s great.

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered garlic knots, meatballs, and pepperoni pizza. The garlic knots were very good, crispy on the outside, warm and soft on the inside. The meatballs were quite good also. Simmered in sauce with flavor all the way through, tender and juicy. The pizza was good but I didn’t care for the crust. Very floppy and the cheese and toppings just slid off when being picked up. I liked the sauce, just needed a firmer crust. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 8.1.
