I had a really great meal and I would easily give it a 5 out of 5. I ordered the battered catfish, the chicken fried steak, and a big steak omelette, and everything tasted fresh and filling. The catfish was crispy on the outside and soft inside, with a nice flavor that was not too heavy. The chicken fried steak was tender and covered in rich gravy that made it extra comforting. The steak omelette was packed with meat and cooked just right, making it a solid and satisfying choice. I also had a slice of their homemade pie, and it was sweet, soft, and the perfect way to end the meal. The place feels warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive the whole time. The portions are big, the prices are fair, and you can tell this is a spot that locals truly enjoy. I would definitely come back again.

We had the Walleye Special. Three LARGE pieces of Walleye, side salad, french fries, green beans, hot roll, with tartar sauce and malt vinegar. Absolutely delicious! Will be going back to try other menu items.

Good portions of food for the money. The service was great, and very friendly. It was mostly clean except one dining room really needed the floor swept. We had breakfast and it was okay except the pancakes were a little tough and difficult to cut through. Also, every time I have hashbrowns they are undercooked. They could use more time on the grill. For the most part it’s a pretty good place to eat.

Had catfish and lasagna. Great “family” restaurant atmosphere. Seated quickly by friendly staff even though they were busy.
Catfish was crisp with tender flaky meat. Lasagna was well seasoned and cooked perfectly.

Stumbled across this great little hidden gem while on the road. Had the fried catfish with green beans, french fries, house salad and a roll. Food was great and the hospitality was excellent. Would highly recommended Silver Dollar.

NO ONE makes a better fried fish dish than the Silver Dollar. Although the dish is usually made with catfish, you can order Walleye which makes it AMAZING. My plate was $13.99 for soup or salad, a nice side of fries and 3 pieces of incredible fish. It’s battered dipped, not breaded and it almost tastes like a tempura batter. Light, NOT greasy, clean tasting, its not only a great value, it’s so delicious.
The fries are also bomb, they almost taste like they’re double fried…all in all, an A+++ dish all around.
My husband always has the lasagna which is a cheesy, saucy, large sized serving of Italian heaven!
This is local, affordable family restaurant with efficient service and fast delivery from the kitchen to your table.
We’ve been there 3x in the last couple of weeks,and if we lived closer, we’d probably eat there much, much more.
Homemade soups, Italian food, locally made desserts, decent prices, good sized portions, friendly servers, there’s everything to like. Also, it is deadly quiet in there, not even a radio playing so if there are only a few folks there, it’s like eating in a morgue.
But if none of that stuff bothers you, the excellent food is well worth it.

I love this place. The food is only slightly more expensive than fast food, and they have some incredibly breakfast options!
Every time I come, I either get a Cinnamon Swirl French Toast Combo, or I get 2 slices od Apple Cinnamon Crumb Pie with Vanilla Ice Cream. Either way, I’m always happy.
No idea how the rest of their food rastes, but THESE TWO at least are 5 stars in my eyes!
