I am always on the hunt for a good Reuben, and they knocked it out of the park! Amazing kraut and corned beef! The fries were also crispy to perfection. The owner was very kind, and the staff were pleasant and funny. All in all I will be back to try other items, but the reuben has won me over so far!

We can on a Friday night and the bartenders were all amazing and getting to everyone as fast as they could. Huge shout out to Jon K he Goofed up our ticket and comped our drinks to make it right and make up for our wait. He was very sweet and apologetic for the mix up. Your establishment leaves a wonderful lasting no impression as I remembered the food and atmosphere from when I was in town 10 years ago. Thank you again Jon K for making my birthday extra special!!! We will be back !!!!

This place only caters to locals. If you’re a tourist, they ignore you. Their on-line menu isn’t an accurate one, as the “$11.50 burger” is actually $16. No beer list, though they have quite a few selections on draft and god knows how many in bottle or can, but the bartender can’t tell you what they have – you need to guess what they might have that suits you. I had a fairly decent BLT (served on white toast, rather than the sourdough that I ordered) and an excellent Alaskan Brewing Amber. Parking signs are misleading – you need to access their lot via a totally different street.

We had a great time here. The food was better than expected. Not only reasonable prices but great quality. A very friendly atmosphere. We sat at the bar and the bartenders didn’t cuss like sailors like many places. We shall return!

The establishment is cool and the people are nice. But I don’t know how a place can have such good food (steak bites, club sandwich) and such bad food at the same time. How do you not improve the recipe over time?! The fish tacos were really bad. And how do you mess up potato salad?

We stopped here for brunch because I had heard they have good food at a fair price. The server told me about the special and my wife ordered fish and fries.
Both meals were excellent .
We figured about 20 per person for what we wanted to spend.
Well worth it.
Music was a little loud to carry on a conversation but, it’s a bar and grill that’s part of the experience.

Great place to have a drink and some food. Got a ruben sandwich with onion rings. I haven’t ate too many ruben’s on my life, but this one was by far the best I’ve ever had. Also the onion rings were top notch. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a delicious meal.

Great F&C, love the fries, fish perfectly cooked, a little crunchy on the outside, perfectly done on the inside. Some chairs need replacing, had torn seats. If they play pool, it’s loud at lunch time, without a lot of people.

Always a great time going to the Porthole! The staff is fun and fast! The food is great, BLT, mozz sticks, fried oysters, chowder and potato salad. Karaoke some nights, pool and lots of seating.
