Built from an historic 75-year old Scottsdale adobe home, Old Town Tortilla Factory captures timeless charm and distinct atmosphere that exemplifies the essence of the Southwest.Our property boasts a 1400 square foot flagstone patio that is surrounded by green vegetation and shaded by 100 year old pecan trees. In the the winter months the patio is heated to spring like temperatures and in the summer months the patio is cooled with a state of the art mist system. If you are looking for authentic, tasty food and great service, go here. Our server Jay was extremely sweet, helpful and a pleasure to be around. Everything was so tasty and there were options for Vegans as well. I modified a salad but it was not a basic salad. They also had a chocolate cake slice that was HUGE. Don’t forget the homemade tortillas! If I lived in the area, I would be a regular. Definitely recommend.

We were on a Segway tour when we passed by the old town tortilla factory. I cannot say enough good about this place. It has indoor and outdoor seating and they are very nice! The food was outstanding. The tortillas that were served before our meal came were flavored. I didn’t think I was going to like tortillas that were not your standard but the cook had made peach tortillas and mango butter. Neither was overbearing at all! So very very yummy! My husband ordered the steak and I had shrimp and scallops. Many times I have trouble with people over cooking seafood but the cook nailed it! It was so yummy! If you need a place to eat in Scottsdale I highly recommend this place!

Hm, knocking them down because I didn’t find their tortillas to be fresh or good – it was dry and gluey for us. Got the nachos, mole, and enchilada. All of the food was pretty mid – the mole was so bitter/burnt tasting. Truly unfortunate because the vibe was very cute and our server was SO friendly.

I never write a review but, feel compelled to in this case. I live right across the street from Old Town Tortilla Factory and so badly want this place to succeed. However, the food is barely edible and way overpriced. The patio is beautiful and has a great vibe. Service is wonderful but, the food falls short time and time again. In addition, the margaritas were watery and lacked any flavor. Frankly, I would prefer the street tacos at Americas Taco Shop, down the street and at a fraction of the cost.

The service was wonderful, but the food wasn’t so much. We thought it was a Mexican restaurant, nothing we ordered resembled Mexican. The sauces on each meal were awful. The veggies and mashed potatoes were cold, and I should know better than to order a steak – that’s not a steakhouse.
I ordered medium-rare and got well-done. When the new one came back, it was cooked correctly but had absolutely no flavor. No one took any of their leftovers. They were trying to be polite. On a good note, the chocolate cake was delicious.

This was our second visit to this fun Mexican restaurant. Old Town Tortilla Factory is located in Old Town Scottsdale’s art district. In a historic 75-year old adobe home. We had several dishes, we will add descriptions to the photos. The favorite was the tocos, drinks are nice that they serve with a mixer and that keeps the drink fresh. Nice atmosphere with plenty of room for big parties.

I was in Mesa for work and a co-worker recommended this restaurant. It did not disappoint. The roasted jalapeno margarita was delicious (and spicy). The elote was . I had the Pasta Calabacitas and I wish I could recreate this dish. It was phenomenal. The fresh tortilla with garlic butter was a fun treat. I sat outside (it was 105) because of the vibe. The misting set-up made it quite comfortable. There was a little bird who kept jumping on my table to try and get a snack. It was cute. I cannot wait to return. My server was so nice as well. She’s a teacher who went to Mizzou. I can’t remember her name, but if management sees this, please reward her.

The Old Town Tortilla Factory is a restaurant I highly recommend. The service is amazing with a very kind wait staff. If you have the chance to sit outside, it really is amazing, the lighting and vibe at night is just incredible! The food is also amazing, with great seasoning, the menu is very informative, without overwhelming you with images. If you are in the area, you really need to check this place out!
