Absolutely Unacceptable & Misleading Billing
Last night my wife, my son, and I dined at Las Colinas Lithonia, and what should have ended on a positive note turned into a complete mess.
We enjoyed our meal and even paid for another table’s bill to pay it forward. Unfortunately, that goodwill was quickly overshadowed by how we were treated at the end.
We ordered three fried ice creams to go. The waitress returned with only one. When I politely told her we ordered three and asked her to put in the remaining two, she immediately caught an attitude.
Then came the billing issues. The first check showed a total of $119, which she took back to add the other two desserts. When she returned, she handed us two slips showing only our credit card info and a final total — no itemized breakdown, no prices, nothing. The total had jumped from $119 to $142 just for adding two fried ice creams, which is absurd.
When I calmly asked for an itemized receipt for accounting and tax purposes, she became visibly upset. She eventually came back with the original receipt — crumpled up and clearly pulled out of the trash.
That’s when we noticed the most misleading part: a 20% gratuity had already been added, yet the receipt was formatted with blank lines for “Tip” and “Final Total,” making it appear as if gratuity had NOT been included. That is extremely deceptive.
Between the attitude, lack of transparency, trash-retrieved receipt, inflated charges, and misleading automatic gratuity, this was one of the worst endings to a dining experience we’ve had in a long time.
Paying it forward shouldn’t end with feeling taken advantage of. Management seriously needs to address this behavior.
We will not be returning.

This food was so mediocre not authentic at all. The only thing authentic about this restaurant was the waitress not speaking English. The drinks was great that would be the only reason for me to come back. The steak was cut so small the taste was not even there. The shrimp were ok. I’ve had better food at Don Tello and that’s a chain. We won’t be back. We ordered wing and it’s taking 30 mins to get them Dam the second drink wasn’t it either. WHY????? The salsa needs help.

My mom and I went to grab some wings and had to tell the waitress extra crispy because I hate to have send my food back. Wings were okay. The ladies there can not make drinks. We ate at the bar and we saw two roaches coming towards us while we eating.my mom flick the bugs over the counter and I tried telling the waitress like she didn’t understand. And I know she do. Plus every other time we come in some don’t add the gratuity, but today she did. This place needs to do better or your gonna lose more customers.

I’m very sorry, but this was a terrible dining experience. I considered leaving before my server even asked me what I’d like to drink. When I walked in, the employees were sitting at a booth and they just pointed to an empty table where I could sit. I sat at a dirty booth next to a booster seat my entire meal. The food had obviously been under a heat lamp for a while, and I know a frozen bag of fried rice with corn and peas when I see one. Truly disappointing.

Let’s start by saying this is my first time eating there. When I walked in the door, there was a podium where the host usually stands, but there were employees in the back milling around. I stood there for a few seconds, but no one ever greeted me. They just started whispering to each other, but no one came upfront. I should’ve turned around then. There was not a lot of people in. There may be about eight total and it was 3 o’clock in the afternoon. When I finally did ask someone where do I place my order, one of the whisperers pointed to the bar. At the bar the gentleman was speaking to one of the patrons, so I patiently waited. He handed me a menu and turns around to continue speaking to the patrons. Placed the menu down because I have decided just to get a few tacos. I figure you can’t make a bad taco in a Mexican restaurant, right? Wrong! I asked him about the steak taco, and if it was suave. He said no it was not. I asked him if I could have cheese on mine and he said we only use white cheese because Mexicans don’t eat cheese on their tacos. Now I really feel bad. I didn’t leave right then . I opted for one chicken and one shrimp taco. the good thing is the shrimp was not chewy. The bad thing is the chicken was chewy. Neither taco meat had any flavor at all. The best thing about the whole meal was the pico de gallo and the chips. It was horrible I would never go there again or recommend it. $10 for two tacos that Taco Bell could’ve did better at making. The service was subpar, and so was the food . Now that I think about it, I didn’t feel welcomed at all in my own neighborhood.

My server Jefferson was awesome, friendly and had the best the best smile that I’ve seen in Georgia since I moved here. This is our second time at this restaurant and if you keep employing people like Jefferson it ouldnot be our last.

This is NOT real Mexican food! This is trash. Canned beans, boxed rice, tough steak with no seasonings. Shrimp tasted frozen. Please do not waste your money. I am very disappointed as I drove quite a distance to try this place. Garbage!! This establishment is cheap. I ordered carne asadas and was served a nasty tough piece of meat! Disgusting!!! Everything dumped onto your plate. Sloppy.

I went to the Stonecrest location for Women’s meetup and it was a nice time. Due to dietary restrictions, I could only eat a shredded chicken Taco salad and I had the Guacamole Mexicano on the side which is made in front of you. Very flavorful and filling. I enjoyed the great mix of music the DJ was spinning.
