Great place to come for a happy hour and spend some time with friends. They have plenty of bruise on draft, and they even have one or two local breweries as well. They don’t brew beer on site, but they have plenty of offerings from other areas.

They also offer cocktails, which are really good. The bartenders are really friendly and pretty quick to serve. We ended up getting margaritas and margaritas were pretty well done.

The highlight here is the food. They have some excellent Gastropub offerings that you can eat while you’re drinking beer or having cocktails. I also really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant has a pretty open front side so the outside seating seemingly transitions to indoor seating as you walk through.

Highly recommend if you’re looking to have a happy hour or just some beer with friends

I met a friend here for drinks the other night, and let’s just say, the beer and atmosphere did not disappoint! The beer was absolutely delicious, and the staff were incredibly helpful. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was so kind and welcoming. As a bonus, we were given some fun souvenirs and beer cups to take home. I will definitely be returning!

Fabulous food, ambiance, service and location.
Stumbled on this place walking by and were very happy we did! The smothered ribeye sandwich was amazing and so was the pretzel with cheese/ mustard. Great selection of beer too.

Such an amazing beer garden in DC!! Even on a sweltering hot summer day, the cold beer + ample shade in the (very large) outdoor area keeps me enjoying the outdoors. Even on a busy day, there are plenty of tables to choose from. They also have a well ventilated indoor area.

In terms of menu variety, the kitchen serves up a good mix of high-quality bar food along with a few unexpected additions such as the Ribeye Gyro which was honestly phenomenal. Drink-wise, there is a large selection of beers to choose from as well as a few non-beer options such as cider. The bar is also well-equipped for some cocktails.

Overall, I’d be here all the time if it were more conveniently located. The staff are all very welcoming / friendly and it’s a great space to hang with friends, have some drinks, enjoy (unexpectedly amazing) food, and play some games.

The outdoor beer garden is an oasis away from the noise of Georgia Ave. With roll-up garage doors, the inside and outside blend together seamlessly. The spot is great for birthdays (adults or kids), watching sports, or just hanging with friends. With a great beer list on tap and in cans, solid cocktails, and frose, the drinks are spot on. The food varies in quality but tends to be on the stronger side (or just bring in Call Your Mother from next door like we did last weekend and down your bagel with a beer).

Located just around the corner from the Airbnb I was staying at. This casual watering hole tucked away off Georgia Ave. turned out to be a hidden gem during my visit. With its wide selection of craft beers, delicious light fare, and picnic tables, it provided the perfect setting for relaxation and good times.

What truly made this place special was its inviting outdoor space. The ample outdoor seating allowed me to bask in the beautiful weather while savoring tasty brews. It was a fantastic spot to gather with friends, unwind, and soak up the lively atmosphere of the city.

During my time at Midlands, I even had the pleasure of witnessing a thrilling cornhole tournament! The competitive spirit, friendly banter, and cheers of the crowd created an electric energy that added an extra layer of excitement to the evening.

Here for your game (any sport at all), for the sport fun, a party, event or just a quiet one alone, The Midlands is there for you. Huge and ever changing beer list, mixed drinks the lot. Oh, the food slaps! The servers are the nicest people you’ll meet. Love this spot.

This is a fun and cozy place, there’s both outdoor and indoor space to sit and they have bar games like darts. Kids and dogs are welcome. The beer and food are tasty, although there’s a smaller selection of beer than I’d expected from a beer garden. They also don’t have a physical menu so you have to look at screens to see what you want and it’s a bit overpriced.

This was my second time here. Bartenders are friendly and polite. I dig the atmosphere. They open late in the afternoon and have a large outdoor space with heaters, couches, tables and a smoking section as well as outlets, which was perfect for me on my laptop for a few hours. The nacho portion was larger than I expected which was awesome! With a perfect amount of toppings spread on- they did not skimp. Bathrooms are clean and I felt super comfortable hanging alone for several hours. Not sure if there is better parking near by but I took my chances parallel parking by Hook Hall.

Bouncer said my ID was “not valid meanwhile I literally used it at the airport, a federally regulated facility, to fly last month. It was a rude and off-putting atmosphere even though it was 4PM on a weekend and quite empty. Been wanting to try this place for a while but I’m glad I never spent my money here and never will!
