I asked for the Crème Brûlée extra torched and boy did they deliver! Also the bread pudding was buttery soft, not overly sweet.
My poke was spicy and marinated perfectly. The miso soup had plenty of seaweed and a delicious fish broth. The garlic edamame did not skimp on the garlic. And the Lobster Roll with accompanying sides was satisfying.
If you’re looking for a good meal with top notch service. Kings Fish House delivers!
Thank you for a great meal.
The sourdough came out warm and fresh.
We also had the cake with ice cream and berries for my dates birthday.
Mac and cheese was creamy not cheesy, which is fine for me but it may not be for all. Also the cake was a little salty, but I think that’s what they wanted. A sweet, salty dessert.
They try for (and achieve) an intimate atmosphere, so things come out at a different pace than other restaurants, so you can enjoy your evening. I think some would mistake this for slow service.
Food, drinks and service was amazing. I’ve already recommended it to my family and friends.
It comes with a side of rice, which I appreciate because honestly, it’s quite salty after a while. The vegetables, mushrooms, and fish all taste the same because they’re all in the same sauce, but I’m not denying the quality. Since the saltiness builds, it just feels really heavy overall. I didn’t quite enjoy the bok choy and mushrooms because it feels like soft on soft food. I would’ve enjoyed it more if there was a crunchy element.
I also ordered a side of fries, and I didn’t realize how much these fries would be saving me. They were the crunchy, savory thing I needed with that seabass <3
The oysters are so good. It was dangerous because I wanted to order a dozen more. Super fresh and chilled. I’m a little confused on the places they come from, but I’m pretty sure my favorite one was the Beach Plum.
They also do free warm bread and butter, which was cool.
My server Amber was great. She explained the menu when I was lost (like with the various oysters offered) and had good vibes. She checked up on me often, asked how the food was, and offered drinks and desserts as reminders. Appreciated!
Overall the sea bass was high quality but too one-note for me, while the oysters completely stole the show. I’ll come back to try more oysters~!
fresh, high quality, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend
* Edamame (Crispy Garlic) 4/5 – The edamame itself was good. I didn’t like the crispy garlic style we ordered. The garlic wasn’t crispy, more like the caramelized onion style you’d see in burgers. The garlic would taste better chopped and fried crispy.
* Clam Chowder 4.5/5 – Really good clam chowder. Clams tasted fresh. There wasn’t a lot of clams, though.
* Mac & Cheese 3/5 – Alright. Tasted plain.
* Brussel Sprouts 5/5 – Really tasty and worth the extra cost. The caramelization added a nice sweetness to the dish.
* Shrimps and Scallops 4.5/5 – Scallops were okay, nothing exciting. Shrimps were nicely seasoned.
* Filet Mignon and Lobster 4.5/5 – The filet mignon was so tender. It was seasoned perfectly. Lobster was good in terms of texture and doneness, but lacking in seasoning. Even just a tiny amount extra of salt and garlic would be good (or salted butter). Dipping the lobser in butter did make it taste better.
* Mashed Potato 4/5 – Pretty good creamy mashed potato.
* Hisbiscus Limeade 5/5 – Perfect balance between sour and sweet.
* Creme Brulee 5/5 – This was so delicious. The torched crust on top was just the right amount of thickness to be cracked with a tap of the spoon. The dessert was custardy and sweet. Great way to end the night.
