Haven’t been to Ponderosa since I was a kid! Had no idea there was still one close enough to drive to. Its definitely a cute place, food was good will definitely go back. Brings me back to my childhood❤

Gross. Not what I had expected as an experience from my past. The salad bar was maintained but it so bad based on the cheap choices they make to stock the ‘salad bar’. There was not a single food option that I was excited to try. Everything looked sub standard. Also, I asked for a box to bring home my chicken breast and baked potato. They do not do that, they only give you foil and a small doggy bag. Keep your childhood memories intact and avoid this ponderosa. One highlight was our waitress who was doing the best with what she was given.

They don’t even deserve 1 star the corn looked like it had been sitting there for weeks. I wouldn’t have fed any of the food on buffet to my dog. I told our server that our food tasted nasty and she didn’t say or do anything. It was a waste of money.

Great place, usually decent food. The staff is always curious but I feel like they are understaffed. Nights I’ve been there and you are lucky to find a place to sit and there is maybe 2 waitresses trying to serve all of the tables. Also they tend to be short on dishes/silverware and the food runs out pretty quickly so you have to wait for them to bring out more. Tonight in particular a lot of the good was over cooked… a lot of the desserts were burnt.

So we went for lunch just because we were in town and feeling nostalgic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Most if the food was acceptable. Here is why it got one star. Shame on the manager that runs this place. Everthing is dirty and sticky, from the restroom and office door to the back of the chairs and the sugar caddies. I totally understand that you get what you pay for but the filth I saw inside of the kitchen when I went to go get some ice cream made me throw up in my mouth a bit. The best part is that it has been 10 hours and no one is sick yet. I implore others to skip this place until it gets a pressure washer and a new manager with a little pride.

Great for staving travelers. Real food fast. All you can eat buffet + entrees ordered at the counter before you sit = no wait for a real meal. Also seems to be the local favorite 2pm lunch and the buffet was still appetizing and stocked with fresh food. Staff was nice and very efficient, well deserving of a great tip.
This will definitely be on the menu if ever we wonder to this neck of the woods again.
