Overall food was delicious. I love how it’s not spicy but has taste. Freshly made and served. But like other reviews suggested there was something not right about the beef kofta. I hope the owner looks into this. The restaurant is nicely put together and decorated. You have the server sanitize the tables the right way. Not with that dirty wet cloth. Great place to grab a quick bite (sandwiches and rolls) or have a nice meal with your friends and family or even by yourself. Prices are reasonable given the state of the economy. Just give it a try. You won’t regret it.

As someone who never writes reviews for restaurants, I had no other choice but to inform others and management of this restaurant to do a better job at serving customers. After a long trip my wife and I drove 10 miles to this halal restaurant with high expectations after reading such good reviews online. My wife and I shared two meals and unfortunately her lamb chops were overly cooked to the point where they were rock hard and clearly burnt from the pictures I posted. I called over our waiter and he unapologetically said he could only replace 2 of the lamb chop pieces. Not once did he apologize or give us any other options to make our visit pleasant. When I asked for his name, he did not provide me his name rather said “I am the manager” when I asked to speak to someone superior. At the end of our dinner, he proceeded with our check which not only included the charge of the lamb chops but also added gratuity, which in a calm manner I denied to provide due to their lack of proper customer service. This Labor Day experience with my wife was really unattended for and this establishment should do better!!

The waitress Rani needs to change her attitude. She had a resting b face on 24/7. Like girl come on. The owner should honestly change their staff. She’s rude and I’m sure other people agree. They put a 18% tip included which is unfair since we didn’t like the experience due to the staff. Food was ok. Bland if you ask me and the white sauce didn’t hit.
Samosas we asked for chicken and it seemed like they filled it with potato’s and bit of chicken. Didn’t like that. Place was nice and clean. Plenty of parking.

Absolutely delicious! The kebab was perfectly cooked—juicy, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. The bread was fresh, and the accompanying sauces added just the right kick. Definitely one of the best kebabs I’ve ever had. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic street-style kebabs!

The kabobs were tender, the Afghani Pulao rice was perfectly cooked, and the portions were generous. It felt like a home cooked meal. The staff was kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I would definitely come back and recommend it to other families

The food at Kebab House in Hicksville is absolutely terrific. Hicksville has a lot of competition when it comes to Afghan cuisine, and this spot stands out as the most delicious, consistent, and mouth-watering Afghan food I’ve had.
I’ll go as far as to say this is probably the best Afghan restaurant in New York City and Long Island. While I haven’t tried many spots in New Jersey, across the five boroughs and Long Island, this is easily one of the top Afghan restaurants out there.
The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for the portion size and quality. The space itself isn’t the most aesthetic or modern, but there is plenty of seating, and parking is super easy, which is a big plus.
The staff is very kind and accommodating, and I’ve met the owner a couple of times—he’s friendly, welcoming, and clearly cares about the food and the customers.
Overall, this place deserves five stars. The ambience may not be fancy, but the food more than makes up for it. If you’re looking for truly great Afghan food, this spot is a must-visit.

I went to Kebab House yesterday with a friend and really enjoyed the food. My friend ordered Kabuli Pulao and I had the lamb tikka kebab with rice. Everything tasted great, especially the sauces.
The restaurant has a nice mix of Afghan and desi food. The staff was very friendly and polite, which made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this place.

I had an incredible dining experience at Kabab House! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. We started with their delicious dumplings as appetizers—perfectly cooked and full of flavor. For the main course, we indulged in the chicken and lamb tikka kababs, as well as the chicken and beef kofta kababs. Each bite was tender, flavorful, and perfectly spiced.
To end the meal, we tried their Afghani traditional firni (rice pudding) for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet touch—creamy, aromatic, and absolutely delightful.
The food quality, portion sizes, and authentic flavors exceeded my expectations. I left feeling fully satisfied and eager to come back. Highly recommend Kabab House for anyone craving an unforgettable meal!
