Food was amazing first off. Drinks are VERY small for them to cost what they cost wh8ch is a negative for me…Slow, slow, slow service tonight and the waitress had a poor attitude and barely checked in. Waited nearly an hour and a half for food to arrive… not her fault but you need to keep your customers updated and apologize for the wait in advance, not just when you see frustration…I will say, the waitress brightened up at end but the damage was done. We want to support a black business, but this isn’t a good first impression for my husband and I. I will do carry out moving forward and see how that goes before I decide I won’t return.

Very nice establishment. Delicious food. Professional staff. While celebrating Valentines day i had the catfish dinner with collard greens, cabbage, rice smothered in sausage, grilled onions and gravy, fried shrimp. Hubby had fried pork chops collards and candied yams. All of the food was bursting with flavor. Drinks were on point as well. They have Happy Hour until 8pm with really good deals on food and drinks. Definitely will be back again.

Went here for a late lunch. Got the liver and rice for an appetizer and it was so bomb. Entree got crab cakes turkey wings Mac and cheese yams and cornbread. Baby that crab cake was so filled with crab and moist and then turkey legs was very seasoned and tender and that Mac and cheese and cabbage with that cornbread being sweet like cake. Them drinks was strong I got the strawberry martini !! 10/10

Went there after church with my fiance family and it was a great place to eat. Catfish was delicious, collards were exquisite, alot of compliments to them. But of couple things could’ve been way better. The barbecue salmon was presentable but only if they baked the barbecue on the salmon and not just pure it on top when the fish was done. Mash potatoes could’ve been better honestly. But naw much to complain about because the food was delicious and the service was spectacular. Our server was great handling a large crowd quickly and effectively. She’s a winner

I’ve dined at The District multiple times, and tonight’s service was outstanding. The food was hot, cooked to order, and our waitress did a great job. Our party of five had no issues and enjoyed every meal. Thank you!
