I promise you won’t leave disappointed. In fact, you’re going to keep coming back.
Food That Will Blow You Away
The food here is truly next-level. I ordered the Fajitas for Two which is a massive portion featuring beef, chicken, and shrimp. The meat is so succulent it literally melts in your mouth—the flavors are incredible and will immediately put water in your mouth. This order alone makes the drive completely worth it.
If you love a serious kick, my recommendation is the “Big Bowl.” It’s a spicy sensation that will absolutely burn your mouth in the best way possible. The prices are also fair, especially considering the massive, high-quality portions.

Visited Jhonny’s for the first time today. I’ve been on the hunt for a great Birria Taco source, and this is it!! Just the best I’ve ever had! We also had the combo fajitas which was also very generously portioned and delicious. Service was great/friendly. The building and fixtures are old, but it adds to the charm. We will be back.

A total classic Mexican cantina with great authentic food. The margaritas are really great. A nice variety of beer too.
The atmosphere is not what people go here. The building looks like the wind could blow it away. It has a covered outside area and a patio on the other side

Great restaurant! Great food! They are very accommodating of my animal based diet. They serve me 8 oz. fajita beef cooked in butter. Delicious! Affordable too at lunch time! José and Louis are very kind, great, and attentive servers. The environment is very clean. Johnny does a great job washing the dishes!
The only thing I wish is that they had à la carte prices for the fajita beef. Compared to other joints I’ve been too, Johnny’s is affordable while maintaining great quality. I suggest giving it a try. Top spot in Wylie.

The food is amazing, definitely not the typical Tex-Mex, truly unique recipes, you won’t find anywhere else. Mom’s Poblano Relleno was so delicious. Not a fried relleno, it’s grilled with chunks of chicken and corn/veggies with a light mushroom sauce. The shrimp tacos were very delicious as well. The top shelf margaritas were on point and strong. Great service, very attentive. I highly recommend for a great Mexican dinner experience.
