I was in the mood for one of the best hamburgers in town, so I decided to go visit Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers at the cross streets of Tatum & Cactus Rd in Phoenix. In my opinion The OpenPit burger is the bomb. Of course I had to get it with tater tots and barbecue sauce. Tonight I decided to misbehaving and get a little experimental and try this chocolate chip hot skillet cookie which comes with chocolate drizzle and vanilla bean ice cream. Rachel and I decided to sit at the bar which we do quite often LOL. Anyway the service was okay at the bar you think with a bartender right there in front of you that you would have more attentive service. The food is good but it took a very long time to get us. When I say that I mean I ordered a hamburger and some chips Rachel ordered a hamburger and some sweet potato fries but it took a very long time. The last time we were there it was the same thing very slow service when it comes to food. I mean in between no problem we had the beer but it would be nice if they got the service there quicker.

Waited over an hour for our food and the restaurant was not busy. Food came out wrong. I asked for a well done burger no pink and it was red through out. Server told me that each restaurant has their own version of well done but did take it off the check. Another of our guests ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. It came out with no buffalo sauce. The rest of the food was sub par. We have been to other CBCB before and never an issue even when busy. We will not be going back to this location.
I wanted to add that after my initial review the GM Robert contacted me and made sure all my concerns were heard and he is using this as a training tool to make sure his staff always lives up to the standards we have been used to at CBCB. I appreciate his throughness in making sure that in the end we were taken care of. Thanks Robert! We will be back!

Great food.bI mean , REAL FOOD CHEFFED FRESH not bar food from freezer to microwave. Very specisl dishes of their own creations. Great TV viewing setup. Great seating. Great misted outdoor area. Great place for hanging out a while but wouldn’t recommend it if you are pressed for time, even during the day between lunch and dinner rushes the service I had was very slow. Bonus though is they use an app to pay the check, so you don’t have to wait for the wait staff to come back to handle the payment. I would definitely be a return customer because I have no idea what it’s like at night, weekends or game days. It’s fairly large inside, I wonder how noisy it would be and again, the service might be a factor in the enjoyment. GO SEE for yourself, the menu is worth it.

I come here to watch the UFC fights which they have for free. More high quality TV’s than I can count, maybe more than 50? They provide what the name says, and do it well. You get a thick 1/2-pound burger and a cold beer and see the fights for free for about $25/person. The place is clean, the food comes out quick, and it tastes good. It’s family-friendly too, I can bring my kid and he’s not the only kid in the place. The hot wings are very good as well.

Food was good overall, my burger was supposed to be ‘red’ but was med well to well done. It was still good. My friends turkey burger was excellently prepared. Place was quite noisy between the customer chatter and music playing too loud. Our wait person Courtney S was excellent. My advice…reduce the ambient noise, which made it difficult to talk and our wait person had trouble hearing our order and the cooks on the kitchen should know the difference between rare and well done on the burgers. We would go back based on the overall food prep but my guest said if we came back that he would have to be prepared in advance for the amount of noise generated in the restaurant. I ordered cheese sticks as an appetizer. The portion was generous (but expensive at more than $10) and the side of marinara was slightly burnt. Pricing was good for the main dishes but the appetizers or starters were very expensive overall (hummus and veggies were over $10), really??? Staff was very good to excellent, orders were processed fairly quickly but pricing was uneven. Nearly all appetizers were overpriced. We paid about $55 with tip for one appetizer, and two burgers and water.

Came in for lunch with my daughter. We had the nicest server! We opted to split a Cobb salad and a basic cheeseburger and upgraded the side to onion rings.
The Cobb salad looked great from the top. But once you dug down to the greens you were met with browned and wilted lettuce.
We had ordered the cheeseburger medium. When we looked at it (it had been cut in the kitchen and served cut side down) it was rare! Bloody. Neither of us could eat it. The onion rings were def frozen.
The super nice server did promise the cook wouldn’t spit on it if we asked the cook for another burger. We appreciated her efforts and just took the new burger to go.
Top it off with the heavy metal/rage music that was playing. 0/10.

Unexpectedly delicious. The burger was perfectly cooked and had great flavor. The fried pickles (don’t sell anymore) were crispy and delicious. The Mac and cheese was also packed full of flavor. We will definitely be back!

Food was super good, I LOVED OUR SERVER SHE WAS AMAZING AND SUPER SWEET HER NAME WAS MALLORY IF YOU STOP BY ASK FOR HER SHE IS SUPER PROFESSIONAL AND ATTENTIVE. The rest of servers were loud, rude you can hear them yelling from the back it was horrible I called the restaurant to make sure manager was aware I don’t think he cared much, anyways spoke with Roland I hope he really took care of the servers being so loud and childish.
