I am so happy I found this place!! I’ve been to so many ramen restaurants in Florida and this is by far the best I’ve ever had! I really hope Karai starts opening in new locations around Florida.
The food is always consistent. The broth is flavorful and you can tell the ingredients are authentic. I highly recommend visiting. I do see quite a bit of negative reviews, but I have never had an issue going there. The staff are kind, quick, insightful, and helpful.

The ambience feels authentic. We tried the potato koroke, karai ramen, and katsu curry. They were all delicious. Food came out quickly and staff were friendly.

Attentive and quick service (they weren’t super busy, we were there pretty early).
Ramen was delicious, chicken katsu was delicious, gyoza was… you guessed it, delicious!
Pork Belly wasn’t too fatty, and the spicy pork belly was perfect. I’m a fan of their soy sauce mixture as well as their sweet sauce they have. Usually I don’t like sweet sauce, but this one was just right ♡
We will definitely be stopping by next time we’re in JAX.
Beware the parking lot. They have signs up for “No Church” parking, but the church goers ignore them. (Some even park there on purpose just to be rude .) I would avoid church service times for easier parking.

We had 3 different ramens – delicious with complex broths. Limited seating and excellent, charming service.

We love eating in but finally got a chance to try takeout and it was just as delicious as always! Got the to go only Udon shrimp curry and the kids loved having edamame with their ramen

The Chicken Katsu with Beef Curry was incredible, so comforting. The red pepper pickles on it were tasty. I added a soft/jammy onsen egg to it because they are the best. I have loved everything I have ever ordered from Karai Ramen; thank you for being my favorite spot when I am at the Mayo Clinic.

I decided to try this place for the first time and I absolutely loved it! Small restaurant, clean, fast service, and my waitress was very friendly. I tried the “Peanut Brisket Tantanmen“ and you could taste the peanut flavor but it didn’t overwhelm the dish. I’ll definitely be returning!

I got the peanut brisket tantanmen. Not too spicy for me and the broth wasn’t too sweet/peanuty for me. Karai has the most authentic ramen and I wasn’t disappointed with this one. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to try something new, give it a try!

Upon entering this establishment, I was immediately met with the blaring noise of high volume music. I thought to myself “Who on earth plays music this loud in a tiny restaurant?” Nevertheless, I still sat myself down at a table. There were no physical menus, only barcodes. I hate barcode menus, but whatever. After ordering, I shortly received my order—the Tonkotsu Ramen. You’d assume Tonkotsu is richer than Shoyu, right? Well I was wrong. I tried the broth and was immediately met with disappointment. I tried the Shoyu my mother ordered, and somehow, her order was more flavorful than mine.

Authentic Ramen! I cannot stop telling people about how amazing this place is. Karai bowl has my soul, the smell when you enter this establishment has me drooling every time. The broth I would order a cup of to drink it’s that good. Y’all the UBE CHEESECAKE, not only is it savory, fluffy, not overly sweet it’s the prettiest color. I wish I would have taken a picture but my stomach won. Hands down the best. Service was impeccable and seemed to enjoy their job.
