Cafe India has the best Indian food in Franklin! I typically order delivery from them but I have been to their location once. Honestly the experience was a bit off putting but their food is good so I just order it to eat at home now.
If you eat at their location it gives a bit of a fast food type of vibe rather than a restaurant. You also have to get your own drink and tableware which they did not explain to us when we ordered. They also forgot our samosas when we first went too.
Honestly I’d just order through DoorDash and enjoy the food at home. The service we experienced at their location wasn’t really the best. I like the food though.

One of the best Indian restaurant I have tried in the states! I am in love with this place now. We ordered two different biryani and I was thinking that both the rice will have almost similar taste as most of the Indian restaurant here do that. ..but I was amazed that how nicely the originality of the dishes was maintained. So good.. soft chicken, full of flavors! And the cost is also very justifiable! You can smell the freshness of the food. Quick delivery!

The Non-Veg Thali was a treat! The curries were rich and flavorful, with tender meat cooked to perfection. The variety in the thali — from spicy gravies to mild side dishes — made it a well-rounded experience. The portion was generous, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. If you enjoy non-veg food, this thali is highly recommended — it gives you a bit of everything on one plate.” Superb Recommendation by front desk guy Vinay & Chef janardhan did a wonderful job . The food at this restaurant was delicious, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. I tried the Chicken 555, which was packed with Indian spices and tasted amazing. The special Chicken Fried Biryani was decent, with flavorful rice and tender chicken. The portion sizes were great, and the overall experience was fantastic. Definitely a place worth visiting for tasty Indian food!

Café India – Franklin: A Decade of Great Flavors!
I’ve been coming to Café India for the past 10 years, and it never disappoints—except for the Schezwan noodles, which were absolutely the worst I’ve had! They lacked spice, flavor, and any real taste, making them a big letdown.
That said, everything else was fantastic. The chicken lollipops remain unbeatable—crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The egg bondas were great, and the fried rice was decent. The dum biryani and boneless biryani were outstanding, with huge portions that make it worth every penny.
I also noticed some improvements in their Indo-Chinese dishes overall, so hopefully, they fix the Schezwan noodles soon. The service was excellent, as always, and I’m looking forward to my next visit—just without the noodles!

The food was good, but they seem to prioritize online orders instead of those who order to go at the register. I get that most revenue probably comes from online orders, but you can’t neglect those who are ordering inside.
I had to wait a significant amount of time to order, and a lot longer to actually receive food, but online orders were coming out regularly.

I have been here several times and I love the food here. I have a lot to choose from vegetarian options in the menu. The taste is consistent. i ysually order paneer/ egg biryani and mysore masala dosa. they have indian style pastries and they take orders for cake. i would highly recommend this place.
