I was impressed overall. Kids got the chicken strips which were good. Cuban sandwich was a little different than a typical Cuban but it was very good. Mac and cheese and French fries were good sides as well. My only small gripe is the people working there just lacked any sort of excitement or personality. No one was rude but they definitely seemed like they did not want to be there. Overall I’d definitely stop back in again.

I’ve been here a few times and I love it. The food is always delicious and the atmosphere is laid-back. I’ve told friends about it.
The customer service is unmatched! They always make you feel welcome. This is what customer service is supposed to be and they fully embrace that. The manager Jack is so friendly! I’ll definitely be back.

Amazing, simply Amazing. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food kine moved quickly, and they even offered samples. The brisket was the best I’ve had across several countries. The fries are above average, and they even have some specialty fountain drinks (a huge win for root beer and cherry soda fans). This place is across the street from Sonney’s and that should help solidify their BBQ bona fides. Loved the Texas Destroyer, ironically better than any BBQ I’ve had in TX. Can’t recommend enough for carnivores and BBQ lovers.

The barbecue here was amazing. The best brisket we ever had. You can request it moist or dry. Highly recommend requesting it moist. It’s like butter! We also had the burnt ends pork and beef, the baked cheesy grits, baked beans, collard greens, coleslaw. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend this place. Oh and they have a very cool, huge gator mural on the wall.

4 Rivers Cantina Barbacoa is a great spot if you’re looking for bold flavors and quality barbecue with a Mexican twist. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and full of flavor, especially the barbacoa. The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, making it a great place to eat with friends or family. The service really stood out. Jack is good. He came to our table asking how everything was and made sure we were having a great experience. Overall, great food, great service, and a place I’d definitely come back to.

Bbq was very good. My family and I shared the brisket, pulled pork & ribs. All meats were moist, tender and had great flavor. Mac and cheese was great, fries were excellent as was the cornbread. What was most impressive was the service.The general manager of the Gainesville location went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable experience and I commend him for that. This place is a gem and will definitely return.
