Great ice cream shop in Fairmount. Prices are very reasonable and portions are large.

The amount of flavors that you can choose and mix are pretty nice. What’s not nice are the SEVERAL PIECES OF PLASTIC that I found in my milkshake. Not really ideal to have probably swallowed some plastic already, as it was half way when I noticed. Not food safe, and I’ll be looking to contact elsewhere for a more reasonable form of action to be taken against this place.

As an avid member of the cult following of the preceding “Philly flavors” I’d like to say that the new ownership and name of Fairmount Flavors has its pros and cons, but carries the weight well.
The flavors of the ice cream are rich and tasteful, some are on the overly sweet side (coming from an extreme sweet toothed person) and some of the water ice flavors can be a hit or miss due to its watery/icey-ness (In not the best way as the flavor seems muted). Some flavors are beautifully as close to natural as an ice cream shop can get, while others are laughably artificial. Yes, I’m looking at you, pistachio ice cream.
However, my last visit encouraged me to leave a review as I tried the black cherry ice cream (8/10, very sweet but a good balance with the natural cherries, almost like dark maraschino) and a gelati of mango ice cream and mango water ice. Both flavors were great especially together, however i would prefer to do without the fruit flies that may be embedded in the barrel at this point. (I can’t blame them, I’d live in there too!)
The waffle was fresh, light and flaky, the cookies were not the soft kind but still good, and we were given some kind of mystery flavor order that was not ours. This review is mixed, but overall I will be returning anyways, potential fruit flies and all.

Exceptional ice cream, quite rich and thick and flavorful! Large servings in my sundae (great value, given how high quality the ice cream is), and just delicious I can’t wait to return and try more of their menu

I must say, ever sense I’ve been pregnant, I always order 4 different flavors & it always hits I also love how they wait til the driver arrives to sit the ice cream out , mines never show up metly and I knew this ice cream was home made just how the flavors taste ! &, I love the cake that’s inside the strawberry shortcake ❤️ keep up the good work !

This spot is a sweet tooth’s paradise—so many creative sundaes and Italian ice flavors to choose from. The colorful shop has a fun, welcoming vibe, and their frozen treats always hit the spot. I can’t resist stopping in whenever I’m nearby.

I bought a medium ice cream in a cup, and split it between 2 flavors. The hubby bought the same, but dipped in chocolate with a waffle cone. Mine was around $5, his was around $10.
While it was absolutely delicious and the portions are large, unless if you get a plain ole cup you WILL be paying a premium for the toppings/cones/any extras. The lines can also be ridiculously long with only one person in the back, so be prepared to wait if there is a line!

First time trying it out, saw mixed reviews, I think they hinge on what you ask. There’s no chair and tables so I didn’t rate for atmosphere, it’s a to-go shop, so if you mean to sit, chat and eat ice cream you’ll want to go elsewhere. Anyway, I loved what I got, will go back, recommend it.

If you are looking for ice cream, this place isn’t bad. Just an average ice cream shop. I ordered the make your own ice cream sandwhich with their cookies. The cookies were very hard and I didn’t care for that. When my order was ready, they called my number and all I had was a bag with two cookies and no ice cream. Make sure to check your order, they were messing up orders.
