If u guy have the chance, try the “Buenos días amigos” it is so good 2 pupusas with avocado and some eggs. Best combination ever. As well GEYSEL she was my waiter, she was very attentive, always checking on me , 2 bite check . She even brought water with my coffee (I didn’t have to ask). She was very professional. Try asking for her when u guys come over to “La Casita”.

I ordered to-go pupusas and combo meals at the suggestion of friends, and I was absolutely thrilled I did!
I have never had pupusas so fresh and delicious. I also had mixed veggies, which are the best I’ve tasted in my life. Everything in my to-go order was very carefully packaged. Friendly service!
Although I didn’t eat in, I saw the interior and was really impressed at how cozy and nice it looked. I can’t wait to eat in next time!
One thing to note: The building is strangely configured on the outside, so be sure to walk through the tented patio and basically 2/3 of the way around the building to find the entrance. Doesn’t look like much from the exterior, but you’ll forget all about it once you walk in 🙂

I really wanted to enjoy this place, especially because I love sopa de res. Unfortunately, this is the second time I’ve eaten the soup here and left with significant stomach discomfort and excessive gas, which makes me believe the issue is related specifically to that dish. I don’t usually have a sensitive stomach, and I’ve eaten sopa de res many times elsewhere without problems. This experience was uncomfortable enough that I won’t be ordering it again.
I’m sharing this feedback in case the restaurant wants to review ingredient freshness or preparation, as this could affect other customers as well.

I’ve had two great dinners and one great breakfast, all on their lovely patio with very pleasant servers, great value for money. It’s not a fast food restaurant, but it’s fast enough for me. Their vegetarian options are good too, though not a huge selection.

I have been a long time customer of La Casita but lately the good quality and getting the orders correctly has be come extremely impossible. I understand we are all humans and make mistakes but I order off Ubereats 9/10 and either and item is missing or the quality of the food isn’t there. Used to be my favorite pupusas spot in the area but I will not be ordering from here anymore.

I recently ordered pick-up from La Casita in Gaithersburg and had an incredibly disappointing experience. I ordered 10 pupusas for my family of three, and after we each had a few, we realized the quality was awful. The pupusas were greasy and tasted like the worst I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, I even ended up getting really sick afterward.
I immediately called to report the issue, and after being transferred to three different people, I requested a refund. The manager then told me I needed to drop off the food that we didn’t eat, which was impossible given the distance. They then asked me to send pictures of the food to their manager’s cell phone, where they assured me I would get a refund.
It’s been 10 days and I still haven’t received any reimbursement. To make matters worse, the manager insulted me, claiming I didn’t know how to eat pupusas or how to order them, since there are apparently different types of masa.
I’ve always enjoyed La Casita in Tacoma Park, but after this experience in Gaithersburg, I’m beyond disgusted. I can’t imagine ever returning to any location again, especially after the poor quality of food and customer service.

Great spot for sizable pupusas at around $3.25 each, that are served warm with coleslaw and tasty salsa, and can be packed lots of different great fillings!
The tacos and some starters left a little bit to be desired, as the tortillas were a bit denser than I desired. The tacos ticos were not a dish I’d recommend and were served with so much lettuce and were simultaneously crispy and soggy. I’d be willing to come back and try a larger dish next time and get a taste of the home cooking I see other reviews about.
The environment was lively and warm, and the serving staff was quick to respond to our needs and very nice!

You will get a perfect night sleep after devouring a bunch of these delicious hearty pupusas! I ordered 5 pupusas, which I thought was too much. But I took a nap after stuffing myself with 3 pupusas, then woke up to eat the other 2.
The yuca fries were filling and fresh also.
The meal was topped off with some of the creamiest horchata I’ve ever had. Great restaurant I did not expect to find in this part of Maryland!
