Pretty much all the food we ordered here was top-notch. Wifey and I ended up sharing the NOZAWA TRUST ME ($60) and then a la carte afterwards. Everything made was super fresh and super delish!

Service was quick, friendly and even the manager ( I think it was the manager, she seemed like she really enjoyed her job!) i feel like that makes a huge difference to customers and sets the vibe on the place.

Also, A BIG PLUS, THIS PLACE IS A NO TIP ESTABLISHMENT. Meaning, they probably pay they’re employees a living wage. Kudos to Sugarfish for this.

Only downside for me was the lighting ( intimate and dimly lit) which made it challenging to see the menu. Also, parking is challenging too.

I highly recommend coming her if you’re in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

The food was incredible—especially the sashimi, which did not disappoint. The staff were friendly and efficient, keeping our table clean and the dishes coming out smoothly. We would love to visit again.

The sushi is excellent as is the service. But I found the decor wanting for more depth.

We come here often. We always have a great experience, however service was slow this time. We had to ask if our food was on the way, my friend’s food came a little later than mine when it’s supposed to be given together, and we were not offered refills on water. We still love this place – maybe this time was just a one off.

On a business trip and saw this place had good ratings. And wow! Amazing sushi! Some of the freshest / cleanest tasting sushi I’ve ever had. And a fraction of the price of many other places I’ve been to that aren’t nearly as good. I don’t know how every review to date isn’t 5 stars. This will be a must stop any time I‘m visiting LA.

I’ve had Sugarfish in Pasadena and it was as pretty good and this spot is just as good or better.

I ordered “Don’t think, just eat” option and added about three different dishes that weren’t in my meal option. All the sushi pieces were ever fresh and delicious. The proportions are on point and the flavors are phenomenal.

I’d definitely come back here again and try their other menu items. Overall it was we a solid dining experience.

Parking is very limited & you’d be lucky to find some on the street or you can get nearby paid parking.

I took myself to lunch on a Monday and o was pleasantly surprised by both the efficiency and quality of this Sugarfish location. Being downtown, I expected to wait for a seat and for the food to take a bit to arrive but the staff was so quick and attentive. I opted to try the NOWZA TRUST ME so I could sample multiple plates and I was not disappointed. Each bite was fresh and incredibly flavorful. I also appreciated the attention to sustainability and education around fishing practices. I definitely recommend

What an amazing experience! The ambiance was perfect, all the staff were perfectly conversational and engaging. I ordered the “Don’t think. Just eat. Trust me.” Accompanied with the extra dry sake.

This place ruined me for sushi. It was so exquisite. Every piece was the best piece I’ve ever had. I had some great company at the bar who engaged me in conversation and then picked up my tab!

Tried the Don’t Think Just Eat Omakase, all the pieces were pretty good quality with nice warm rice. The ponzu is pretty sour and certain items come covered in it, so if you’re adverse to that flavor, you may want to request a different seasoning. I also was not a fan of the unagi, which was the finale, as it was really powdery. Overall, enjoy the atmosphere and the selection. Next time I will perhaps select the specific pieces I loved like the pink lobster, tuna cuts, and scallop!

It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great. It was mid. The ambience of the restaurant is nice but definitely not somewhere I would go or consider for a fancy date. It was mid. The service was okay but right from the beginning we were being rushed through the meal and out the door. No time or effort was taken to explain what was being served. It was more a mad dash to turn tables over. Again, it wasn’t bad, not great. It was mid. The sushi itself wasn’t bad, it was good. But for the price, I expect more. It was mid. Will not recommend or eat here again.
