The pizza is NOT worth the price. For a $5 slice I expect more. The pizza was falling apart and oily right out of the oven. You’ll need a few tissues and a fork to really eat it. It should cost $2.50 max. I’ve had better dollar slices than this

We stop by here almost every Friday for pizza, and the food is consistently amazing. For around $20, you can get four specialty slices. My only minor complaint is that some managers seem inconsistent about allowing me to add pesto on top of the slices – sometimes it’s no problem, while other times they give me a hard time. Despite this, we still come back almost every week.

Whoever was cooking today for the opening shift please keep him off cooking or shadow him. I used to love getting pasta from here but this is the blandest alfredo I’ve even had in my life. I called to let them know cause I didn’t want to leave a bad review at first because I really love this place but was very upset for the price I paid and he was kind enough to not only remake the pasta but gave me a large instead of a small but OMG again no flavor whatsoever! I have to say something more! I don’t wanna remake I don’t even want a refund I’m genuinely just upset cause this place used to make delicious pasta. Not an OUNCE of flavor are yall buying store bought frozen meals now?! I even had people try the first one AND the remake because I thought it was just me and I was tripping but everyone consistently said it’s terrible….again the people are nice and it was sweet to remake it but there’s clearly someone totally different or new making these meals if not then you can tell they’re unhappy there cause there’s no effort put into it

Best chicken parm sandwich in the area made with fresh semolina bread. And the Sicilian is amazing. It takes an hour but is worth every bit of the wait and can feed 4!

Service was quick and friendly, and the vibe of the restaurant made it a cozy spot to enjoy my meal. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice or sitting down for a full meal, this place delivers on its promise of high-quality, delicious pizza. It’s definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation!

Honestly, ask me yesterday, I would have told you this was my favorite pizza spot and recommend to anyone that would listen. My go to order is Sicilian with vodka sauce and Roni cups and the vodka pasta with blackened chicken. I order takeout online for my birthday knowing it will take an hour for the Sicilian. I order in advance because I’m pregnant and get sick easily if I don’t eat when I’m hungry. We arrive an hour and 5 min later after they already told me it was delayed by 10 min over the phone. Cool, I will try and deal with it. When we arrive we are told it will be 15 minutes because something happened (would not disclose). At this point it is already pushing it. The first trimester is no joke. After $70+ in food and $10 tip they offer nothing no extra bread or anything for the inconvenience. We requested bread and were told we still have to pay. After 20 min they said they could throw in the bread after already leaving a bad taste in our mouths and I’m in pain at this point. 30 min pass and I guess my husband told them my situation and they gave me a slice to hold me over. That’s nice but after the fact it’s not really a good look in terms of having good customer service. It is way past their time and I planned to be at home on my birthday enjoying my food, not in the car nauseous waiting still. Pasta apparently stayed in the warmer the entire time. After 40 min extra, total time after ordering 1hr 35 min we have our food. There has been slight issues with orders in the past (like only half the pizza having roni cups although we ordered for full pizza but never like this. Overall very disappointed about this experience after ordering from them for over a year.

The Village Trattoria is a great pizzeria. They have great sauce, it’s not runny sauce like other places and the flavor is delicious. I gave a 4 star rating because of the price of the speciality pizzas are $25, which for me is costly. I’ve gone to some pizzerias and the specialty pies are about $20-$21. But then again, the $25 is worth the price for the bold flavor you get from Village Trattoria. Also, the pies are filled with whatever toppings you pick. The BBQ chicken pizza is amazing, the BBQ Sauce is soo good and chicken pieces are breaded, which providesa great texture. The Buffalo chicken pizza was good too!

My fav cozy spot with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. Their pizzas are crisp and flavorful, and the pasta dishes always taste fresh and homemade. The staff is friendly, and it’s a great place for both casual dinners and family gatherings. Def a neighborhood favorite in South Orange!

We utilized their catering menu for our mother’s 90th birthday celebration, and the food was absolutely scrumptious. We ordered Chicken Marsala, Chicken Piccata, Vegetable Lasagna, grilled vegetables, baked ziti, meatballs with marinara sauce, and garlic knots — every dish was flavorful and beautifully prepared. We ordered enough for seconds, and we’re so glad we did! Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was.
