Stopped by Murphy’s Pub in Wallingford and had a really great experience overall. The Paddy Melt sandwich was absolutely on point, flavorful and perfectly cooked. I would definitely order it again. The drinks were also very good. Ben was amazing. He was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. I really love the vibe of this place. It feels chill and cool, just an easy spot to relax and enjoy good food and drinks.
The only downside for me was the bread pudding. As a bread pudding connoisseur, I was a little disappointed. It was slightly dry and did not have raisins, which I personally think are essential. Other than that, everything else was great.

I love Murphy’s. From the classic authentic pub feel to the great pub eats this is an awesome place to unwind, enjoy some music, or have a chat fireside with close friends. Big shout out to Eamon and his team for creating this amazing experience. We played there a couple of weeks ago and as a band enjoyed everything Murphy’s has to offer! Want a real Irish experience? Go to Murphy’s!

Food was absolutely bomb. Came in for breakfast on a random rainy Sunday morning and sat by the fire. John hooked us up with a Kilkenny, and recommended the scotch eggs and the Murphy’s Stout Beef Stew. Scotch eggs has a perfect coating for crisp while the stew was rich and super flavorful. Perfect for a cold morning.

We went here last week for lunch! We split the stew, cottage pie, and mac and cheese.
The stew is very thick. I enjoyed it. It has a really good flavor.
The cottage pie is very pepper heavy. The mashed potatoes are good. Instead of ground meat like I’m used to, they have chunks of beef, similar to the stew.
The mac and cheese was okay. It’s very thick, but the flavor wasn’t as sharp as I was expecting. I did enjoy it, it just fell a little flat. There’s much better mac and cheese in the city.
They have a decent beer selection and a full bar. The man working was nice enough. The building is quite pretty- lots of stained glass.
Plus, a small, free parking lot in the back!

I was really pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. I don’t mean it like that. I just was not expecting it to be so good and so inexpensive. The fish tacos are 16 and they give you a lot of food. A great spot. My wife got chicken tacos and a steak and hers were great too. Her Moscow mule was really good as well.

I enjoyed Murphy’s beef stew and beer selection, but as many others have commented, the service was pretty slow. While I wasn’t in a hurry, it was a bit painful.
We also tried the spinach and artichoke dip – it was fine, and I wouldn’t be compelled to get it again.

I wish I knew the name of the server but he was the kindest, nicest I’ve had in a while. Food is actually pretty good and arrived fast; it isn’t crazy expensive either. Drinks are pretty good too!! It does get crowded fast. Lots of seating as well!

Murphy’s Pub was such a great experience during my visit to Seattle! Even though I don’t drink alcohol, I’ve always loved the atmosphere of Irish pubs, and the staff here was incredibly accommodating. I was able to try a Guinness Zero for the first time, and it was delicious!
The bartender, John, was a delight to chat with. He shared amazing local recommendations, hidden gems you wouldn’t find in a typical guidebook, and really added to the whole experience. The vibe of the pub itself was super chill, making it the perfect spot to unwind after a long trip.
Next time I’m in Seattle, Murphy’s will definitely be at the top of my list to visit again!
