What they lack in their extremely dated atmosphere, they do make up for in friendly service and excellent food. It would not surprise me to learn that they’ve been using the same worn out bowls, cups and silverware that they’ve had since they opened their doors decades ago. It felt like I was in the 1980’s for sure. My husband’s family has dined here for years so it has a lot of nostalgia for them.
Our party of 8 enjoyed all of our meals last night. I can speak highly of the following dishes: bacon and hamburger pizza, steak and mushroom sub, hamburger steak, chicken and rice pilaf and lasagna. If you’re not a fan of iceburg lettuce, you might not want to order salads. From what I could tell, all of them are iceburg.
If you’re eating here in the cold months, do not sit anywhere close to the front because the cold air blasts are absolutely terrible every single time the doors open. There is zero structural protection from the cold. All 8 of us were VERY cold but there was just nowhere to move us prior to our food coming out. We had to place our coats over our legs and all I could think about was why on earth they would sit anyone at any table under such circumstances. The owners need to rearrange some tables or put up some kind of barrier because it really was beyond reasonable to subject paying customers to. I felt terrible for my father-in-law who was seated on the end so very close to the doors…on his birthday no less. What an absolutely terrible dining experience that must have been for him. Of all the places he could have chosen to hold his birthday dinner and that’s what he sat through. I felt so bad for him.

This was a cute little place to eat. Good was good, pizza was even better. I recommend this place for a quick lunch dinner place. Kid friendly, servers are nice and work together

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. My niece wanted pizza so we saw the South Congaree House of Pizza would be open on Labor Day and decided to go. The environment gave family restaurant vibes. They have tables and booths available. There’s many selections to choose from on the menu and a buffet style salad bar. They had a special of the day written down as you entered the restaurant. I ordered the Meat lover’s Pizza and my niece ordered half Pepperoni and half Cheese pizza. We were both pleased with our meal. There was a balanced amount of toppings to sauce. Next time I would love to try something from the lunch special of the day. There wasn’t a wait time and the staff was attentive and courteous.

I had the EXTRA-HOUSE Special Pizza. It was awesome! The Italian food is always good here. I have had their spaghetti and their lasagna in the past, but I had never had the pizza here. Their pizza is great. I was there during lunch and I did not have to wait long for the pizza at all and the waitresses were all niceand it was a very enjoyable experience. Yes I will be back!

Just a delightful experience and pleasant surprise! Very small town, individual owned feel when you dine in.
The servers were all so polite and accommodating.
The pizza tasted great! We got a pepperoni light on the sauce extra cheese. They even included a free small cheese pizza! ( I assume for the holidays which is just adorable)
It costs more than your average pizza chain if you account for deals/coupons , but is definitely worth it for a fun pizza family sit down night!
And the clientele and customers they bring in were all so nice as well, it really says a lot about the restaurant.

The staff was very polite and greeted us as we walked in. They told us we could sit where ever we wanted. As soon as we sat down there brought us the menus and took our drink orders. Food was good and hot and did not take very long. We would visit again.

My experience might have been better if it weren’t for the mix up where they gave part of my order to another customer who left the building with it. They were able to get that customer their actual food. They did offer to remake my order which they did. The cook did not seem excited about that. My ordered showed that lack of excitement.

Greek salad
Small pizza
Stromboli
Side of tzaki
I received:
Gryro fully assembled no taziki only vegetables were hot tomatos
Teriyaki (maybe) chicken wings
Small pizza
A folded pizza chopped in pieces like an appetizer
Nothing else.

Very nice local place for home cooked meals . Sandwiches are great any of them. Prices are good . For what you get and in a sit down atmosphere go here and forget about the fast food geeks

This business gets five stars across the board from me. The food is delicious, comes out popping hot, and comes in large portions. The service is friendly as it is a family-owned business whose owners put in more than their fair share of work. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. It feels just like the place in the neighborhood to eat. Highly recommend the House of Pizza!

We love pizza. But we don’t love this pizza. We tried different pizzas. (Buffalo, Greek, and house of pizza speciality.) None meet our expectations. Very soggy, very greasy, and soft.
The fried mushrooms were also soft. The jalapeño poppers were the worst. They made me gag and almost throw up. Food , especially pizza can taste so much better.
