Flooded by the good reviews on both Google and The Fork I was definitely tempted to try out Just Meet in Leiden with a friend.
The food is good, they have a good selection of fine meats including rubia gallega and wagyu. We went for the skirt steak and rubia gallega. The rubia gallega had a very nutty accord and a bit earthy, quite unique haha.
The side dishes are actually quite filling and can be shared by two very well.
The interior is gorgeous. You will be greeted by a glass and wooden door. Once inside walking straight ahead might lead to the toilet while right and left are the dining areas. The dry aging cabinet is also impressive haha.
All in all a bit pricey, but you definitely get something in retuen for it. Gorgeous interior, great service and quality meat

+ The waitress was also amazing. Explained everything to us very efficiently and was really friendly. Overall, really nice customer service and we felt taken care of.
– A person from the staff made comments about our order, claiming it was a “strange order” and “felt like a lot for 2 ladies” (and more). Two points are worth making here: 1) Don’t assume people’s gender based on sex. Stick to “persons” to be inclusive, or if you really feel like using gender-specific pronouns, ask 🙂 2) I think it’s quite rude to make such comments on how much one eats (even in a “sarcastic” tone). And, of course, don’t assume that (biological) women eat less and shame them if they don’t! So better keep your thoughts to yourself about how much one eats, unless asked for related advice from the clients.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff were very attentive, and since it was our first time, they took the time to explain all the dishes on the menu, which was really helpful. A unique touch is that you can choose your own knife, which adds a special element to the experience. Highly recommend!

We had fantastic dinner at this restaurant. Start from you entered, you already feel the cozy atmosphere. The food that we had from the starter was already delicious, they bread was warm served, the steak that we ordered for 2 persons.. oh my! exactly like what we asked, so tender and juicy. The staff was very helpful and tentative, they gave us every information necessary.. even about a bottle of good wine. And the fun part they allowed us to choose our knife for the steak.. we had great evening and happy tummy!

Best steak restaurant in het Groene Hart. Good food, amazing service and great atmosphere.
The restaurant allows you to choose your own steak knife and if you choose a big steak (1.000 gr) the staff will bring it to the table to show you before it is cooked.
The also allow you to choose how you want your steak prepared; in a pan or on the grill.

Seriously best meal I have ever had. From appetizers to dinner and dessert, and from cocktails to bottles of wine and port, FANTASTIC! Pick my own steak knife? Uh, hell yes!!! 10/10 recommend!!!

I really enjoyed my dinner here. From the moment I walked in I was greeted warmly, and the service was excellent throughout. It’s a steak-focused restaurant and it really shows: I had the trio of breads, the bavette flank steak, and fries with truffle mayo, and everything was absolutely delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, clearly prepared with real care. The space itself is very pleasant, with nice décor and cozy seating, making it especially welcoming on a winter evening in the Netherlands. It would be a great spot for an intimate dinner, and if I lived in town, I’d be back regularly.

Everything in this restaurant is perfect, from the service to the food. The steak and other meats are perfectly prepared. For meat lovers, this is a great delight. They also have a large selection of wines and gins, which I really liked. And finally, a fantastic detail is choosing your own knife for the meat.
