We are an independent full-service restaurant offering Cajun, Creole, and Southern comfort Foods. We moved to the Mountain Home area from the Acaidian regions of south Louisiana. With us we also brought our love of the foods that were available to us in our Lousiana home and wanted to share it with our new friends in the Ozarks. With that Cooyons was born.

I was lucky to come on a day the chicken cordon blu was on the special menu! The taters were done just right packed with flavor. The asparagus was done well. The drizzled holinday sauce was great! These frog legs were torn up by my girlfriend and she loved them, the okra and fries were both great. We had a great date night. Will come back for some Cajun food another day.

Excellent food and large portions. Service was friendly and on top of our needs. The meat pies, shrimp poboy, and red beans and rice were my favorite. Even the kids enjoyed their meals. We will definitely come back when we are in the area again.

My husband and I had a wonderful dining experience at Cooyons! The ambiance was comfortable and welcoming, very clean, with soft lighting and comfortable seating. Our server was incredibly attentive and helpful, offering great recommendations. We particularly enjoyed the alligator bites and shrimp, which was a delicious combination of flavors and textures. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. I highly recommend this restaurant!

OMG this was a GREAT find! Stopped in for lunch and glad we did. We had the boudin balls, gumbo, Shrimp & Grits, BBQ shrimp and. red beans & rice. All delish! Gumbo was some of the best. Katrina was excellent helping us.

We had a large group of 15. The food was AMAZING. It hit the spot after a long day on the water. Our waitress Megan was great also. Our whole table was passing things around and everyone was impressed. I will definitely be back!

The food was delicious. The alligator bites, shrimp, frog legs and catfish are amazing. The Catouffe ( crawfish tail in medium heat sauce on a bed of rice topped with a generous filet of catfish) was a little warm but tolerable.

Knowing we enjoy Cajun cuisine we opted to try Cooyons and are ever glad we did!!
My wife had the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, made with Cajun blackened chicken… Quite possibly the best we have had in 60 years… I had the Creole Shrimp and it was absolutely amazing. The service quite possibly topped the food… Most definitely will be going again!!!
Also seen some reviews that the food wasn’t spicy unless you ask for it, totally makes sense as not everyone wants hot pepper

Best restaurant in town! I get take out atleast 2 times a month and I have never had a bad meal and it’s still so hot when I get it home! The wait staff and owners are absolutely awesome!! Love this place
