So big Denny and me have a love hate relationship.. although the foods terrible I still go every now and again when I’m “jammed up” if you know what I mean.. nothing like a good ole grand slam to clear the pipes out!! After spending years frequenting this establishment I know now why they call it that.. they call it a grand slam because that’s what the toilets in for when you get back to the house!! If anyone’s looking for advice on this place my only advice would be to make sure you are mentally ready for what your about to experience and to make sure your stocked up on your favorite TP make sure it’s not the cheap stuff!! I gave this place 5 stars because yes everything sucks it’s still great for a good detox or “spring cleaning”

We had a great experience at Denny’s of New London, Ct. We had a party of 12 and the staff were very accommodating and helpful. Violet was our server and she was efficient and thorough with helping. The food was just the right amount and was very tasty. The atmosphere was a very typical diner setting with lots of booth seating.

Had breakfast one day and dinner another with the family. Food was delicious and service was great despite them being very short handed. Kitchen staff came out to help the only waiter on hand yet they were very polite and professional.

I placed a curbside pickup order at 6:54pm while gassing up 10 minutes away.. The mobile order wait time was supposed to be 15-20 minutes. No problem, right? 35+ minutes after placing my order, the website still showed “Prepping.” I walked in and the girl near the front asked if I was picking up an order, and I asked if I could just cancel it and get a refund due to time constraints. She was very polite but informed me they don’t do curbside pickup and that they’re “not even allowed to” and wasn’t sure why it’s an option on the Denny’s site for ordering from this location. My order had been SITTING ON THE SHELF BY THE DOOR FOR NEARLY TWENTY MINUTES!!!
TO THE MANAGEMENT / FRANCHISEE: If you don’t do curbside pickup and if corporate can’t remove the curbside pickup option, maybe don’t take online ordering? Or, since the customer’s phone number is printed on the receipt, maybe try calling them when their order is ready so they don’t sit out in the parking lot waiting for something that’s never going to come? Now I’m sitting here with cold eggs and cold biscuits and gravy.. The only thing still hot was my burrito. Thanks for that.

Raw food. Cold coffee. Had to send it back and it came back even worse. Wish I took a photos of the pancakes, so undercooked that the waitress apologized.

These old-time memory places need to clean up and refresh their atmosphere. Very old, worn and dirty. Food is OK, nothing different from a Perkins. Country Farmer style breakfasts. Servers running it seemed to care but the atmosphere is really becoming a downer. Bound to fail as a restaurant. Corporate seems to be interested in money and not really the love for the customers and restaurant.

Very good food not gonna lie. The only thing that is bad is the wait time. Waiting too long for appetizer and never get them, makes you sad. Other than that the Berry toast slam is an amazing deal. Would love for the pasta to be back again

AWFUL EXPERIENCE. Waited almost 20 mins for a menu & finally had to ask for one. Took forever to get our order actually taken because there was ONE waitress & she wasn’t coming back to the table. We had to keep getting up & getting her. After waiting an hour to eat in a restaurant that wasn’t even full, I got a dry sandwich & my bf got less than half a meal cuz they ran out of ingredients. They blamed it on it being after 11pm, but if they had taken our order when we got there there would have been a ton of time before then. He had so little food on his plate that I had to share my meal. They should have told him BEFORE the meal got to the table so he can order something else or something extra. His dish was literally 1 noodle deep. And when we got there, the kitchen was blasting it’s own music over the dining room music. Trashy. Never going back. They ended up taking his food off the bill only because they couldn’t figure out how to charge half price for the sample he got. Should have been taken off to begin with!
