I eat here quite often, like multiple times a week (well.. maybe used to now) the prices increasing aside, the portion gets smaller and smaller. Today though… I’m at the point I have to leave a photo and a review. This is the size of a $12 burrito… it’s like a child’s burrito. There’s so little inside it I have to pick off parts of the tortilla because it’s just folded over so many times it’s like eating a ball of tortilla. This is like a large microwaveable burrito… not something you’d get at a restaurant. Absolute waste of money.

picked up my order tonight and while eating, i found a strand of dark, curly hair in my food! i called the restaurant and asked for a manger and the workers refused to get the manager on the phone and pretended they didn’t know english (i’ve eaten here many times and everyone seems to speak fluent english). no solution, no help, and no apology. this is so unacceptable and disgusting!

I’ve been coming here every week for a long time, but lately the food quality has been inconsistent. The Surfing California burrito, in particular, has been very hit or miss over the past year—sometimes the shrimp lacks seasoning, other times there’s barely any sauce.
On my most recent visit, the burrito was noticeably smaller than usual. The asada was scarce and cut very small, the shrimp was overcooked and tough, and I even bit into a full shrimp tail, which was extremely off-putting.
This was a disappointing experience, and I hope this review helps bring attention to quality control so things can get back to the standard that originally made this place a weekly stop for me.

Burrito Azteca saved my butt recently. I had an event that needed catering. The previous caterer backed out and I only had 2 days to figure out what to do.
My friend suggested BA because she used to come by here after work and they were always kind to her. I called and the staff was so helpful and put me in contact with the owner so we could work something out.
The food was absolutely delicious, people went back for seconds and thirds. The portions were very generous. I ordered for 25 folks but it could easily have fed 40. We had plenty left over.
So if you need great catering, want to support a locally-owned business, or just want a really good burrito, you should check out Burrito Azteca.

Look, the breakfast burrito was good, but it was NOT a breakfast burrito. It was all rice, beans, and chorizo. This is the second time in a row this has happened so, at this point, I have to assume this is how they prepare them.

This used to be my favorite place for Mexican food, somewhere I genuinely looked forward to going. Unfortunately, the last two visits have been really disappointing. This most recent dinner was especially upsetting. The asada was unseasoned and grey, tasting more like boiled meat than what I have come to expect from them. The taco shells were dipped in grease to warm them, something I had never seen done here before, and it took away from the meal. I also asked for extra rice and never received it. The margarita was only passable and did not make up for the rest of the experience. After two back to back visits that left me feeling let down, it is hard to say this, but I no longer have the desire to return.

This place is a wonderful local restaurant with extremely friendly staff! They have apartments on the second level and my father-in-law lives in one and they’re always great people. I tried the shrimp burrito last time I went and you get a GIANT sized burrito for less than 8 bucks, with all quality ingredients. This is worth the stop and when I have friends or family in town, I take them here!! Great sauces, friendly service, food is delicious, they never disappoint.

The food is really good and they are open late which is also really good. I got the alpastor burrito, it was super cheap and you get a whole burrito.

I always come to this little spot because they have the sweetest people and the best tasting Mexican food in the block. They have a clean space to eat inside and also a few spots on the outside to enjoy the breeze in the evening. The roasted salsa always hits the spot and the green for those who can’t handle a little spice . Thank you everyone for making food with love. I can’t wait to see you all again
P.s. did I forget about their bumping traditional music? Be eclectic. Learn culture. Listen to poetry. Fernanda you’re awesome .

Upon arriving the young gal at the register seemed to not have a ton of knowledge on the menu… while looking to see what myself and a friend wanted to order she made it very clear she was “ready” for us to order. We were handed a buzzer for when our Togo order would be ready, when our order was ready she kindly brought to our table. My hands were full and she demanded the buzzer as though we weren’t going to return, all while I was just trying to free up my hands. The bag was stapled close and I asked if we could have some salsa.. she claimed she put it in the bag. I got home to the tiniest two containers of RED salsa. She was extremely rude and after spending $30 dollars I didn’t think asking for salsa would be a big deal. Personally wanted to ask for green salsa but she made it very apparent she could not be bothered.
