Thanks to another google review with a picture of the waffle fry cheese fries, we stopped in for lunch and so glad we did! The food was great. Large portions, prompt service, and no issues. Do yourself a favor and get those cheese fries! We will definitely be back.

Afton tavern is tucked away in Afton Ridge, not too difficult to find. There was a function to which I attended there at Afton Tavern which was to be catered with food and drinks. The service was absolutely amazing. The ladies and gents working the tables were phenomenal and friendly.
The food on the other hand was not what was expected. It was not made to order and setup as a buffet style grab n go. The steak was in a watered down heated pan and did not have the flavor to be desired. Salmon was good but not at the level it could have been. Everything almost had the feel that the food was cooked hours in advance and reheated.

Stopped in for lunch while visiting the Mustang Museum and Charlotte Motor Speedway, and this place hit the spot. We had the crispy chicken salad and the shrimp wrap — both were delicious, perfectly prepared, and served quickly with generous portions. Everything tasted fresh and clearly made with care.

Second time dining here on the patio, and it was fabulous. Good service, good food, and beautiful weather. Thursday drink specials from the tap. When you come, you just feel like lingering over libations and conversation, as the ambiance is welcoming.

I got the blue cheese cob salad. It came with lunch meat chicken and I told the server to give future guest a heads up it’s not grilled chicken. She instantly asked to remake the salad. When I said it’s ok, she brought me out a side of grilled chicken. Very good salad with real bacon and blue cheese. Everything that got brought out the kitchen looked fantastic. Definitely will be back!

Andria was awesome and great service. She also almost made me order a dessert with how well she described the options after I finished my wings. I only took a star away because the hot wings weren’t that tasty or flavorful, and I wish they tasted better.

I went here today for the first time in a few years and it was really good! I got the Tavern Tacos with grilled chicken and they were pretty good. If you’re ever near the concord area, I would recommend this place. A lot of good options for food!

We have been here many times. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve eaten here. The service has been consistently good. The best thing they serve here, though, is the cookie skillet. I love the original with chocolate chip cookies, but my new favorite is the snickerdoodle cookie skillet. It tastes like Christmas!

I had dinner on a Sunday evening & I must say I really enjoyed myself. I ordered a drink which was slightly watered down & the manager Ms. Lee remade it. She’s a very vibrant & sweet woman who checked on us regularly. Our waitress Sierra was also very nice & made honest recommendations off the menu. Nice place for a quick bite.
