The restaurant itself feels cozy but lighting inside was a bit dark and could be a little bit brighter. Be aware that they will have a 15% service charge applied when going to pay.
1. Chair looks old and dirty. Like 30yo old furniture from ur grandmoms garage sale old.
2. Plate, silverware and cup was dirty and old. There were scratches on everything. Seem like they haven’t replaced their hardware for 15 yrs.
3. While pouring water, the staff had his fingers inside the water jug. This was extremely unhygienic and dirty.
Food was okay.. a tad spicy and not very flavorful. There’s a difference between flavorful spicy and just downright miserable spicy and this was the latter.
Calamari & onion pakora – 5/10 lacked seasonings and the batter was mid.
Garlic nan – 3/10 tasted like store bought nan
Chicken tikka – 6.5/10 goes well with the rice. V spicy
Fish korma – 6/10 too much batter on the fish. Fish wasn’t seasoned and v spicy.
We came in before 7 and place looked dead.. place is downright disgusting and beyond mid. Also like why the hell did they add service surcharge on my bill and tax me on top of that??!?
With over 20 years of culinary experience, it has become a fantastic destination in Seattle for those seeking authentic Nepali and Indian tastes. The restaurant offers a cozy bar-side seating area with a warm and inviting ambiance.
Here, you can enjoy a wide variety of dishes including different types of momo (veg, chicken, and mutton), rice thalis, roti, and a delicious range of Newari specialties such as chataamari and bara.
The chicken momo and sauces are to die for. Not frozen and reheated. It’s the genuine thing.
The spinach momo goes with the sesame sauce so well.
The Annapurna curry is just outstanding. It had just a enough heat, but the perfect bombardment of spices for flavor. And I had the chicken and it was perfection.
The naan…. Is real. It seems obvious, but so many places just use cheap bread instead of naan. We got the garlic naan and it was just amazing.
The staff was wonderful. I could sit and just breathe in this place for hours.
I recommend this place so much. It is nothing much to look at outside, so don’t be put off. Downstairs is the restaurant.
