Dim sum cart service on the weekends is great! I’ve been a few times and while their delivery orders taste just as good, give dining in a shot because you’re missing out on an amazing atmosphere and friendly staff. They’ve also recently updated their menus with high quality photos of the food so if you’re not used to ordering chinese food you’ll know exactly what to expect.

I went to Uncle Yip’s for the first time this Sunday for dim sum brunch, meeting my son and his fiancée to talk about wedding plans. I also wanted to check it out because they’re open on Christmas, and I’m considering taking my elderly parents there for Christmas lunch. I’m so glad I did.
The restaurant is warm, fun, and beautifully decorated—natural wood tables, carved wood dividers, a large bronze statue, and a very nice bar. The space is large, with a side room, and feels welcoming and lively without being overwhelming.
The food was excellent. We ordered the dim sum, which you can get any day of the week, but on weekends it’s served the traditional way on rolling carts, so you can see everything and point to what you want. There’s also a full standard Chinese menu available.
The dim sum carts were filled with all kinds of delicious items. I especially loved the sesame balls—soft, chewy dough with what I believe was a molten red bean filling. I also tried the beef tendon, which was surprisingly delicious (yes, Achilles tendon!), and I’d highly recommend it if you’re feeling adventurous. The sticky buns with sweet fillings were great, and there were nice vegetable dishes as well. I didn’t try the chicken feet, but my son said they were very good.
The waitstaff was attentive and friendly, and the manager mentioned it’s best to come early for lunch or dinner because they’re busy almost all the time—which makes sense once you experience the place.
The location is right on Reading Road in Evendale, just north of Glendale-Milford Road. There’s a huge parking lot right in front, parking is easy, and the restaurant is handicap accessible. We saw lots of families with kids, and everyone seemed to be having a great time. There were also plenty of vegetarian and pescatarian options.
Overall, I’d say it’s moderately priced and absolutely worth it. If you’re looking for a fun, welcoming place for dim sum or traditional Chinese food in a beautiful, warm setting, this is a great choice.

Delicious, authentic cuisine with fair pricing and large portions! Wide variety of dishes to select from using high quality, authentic ingredients and techniques. My go to Sichuanese dish, the Laziji (on the menu as red dry chili chicken in English) was excellent! Crispy, crunchy, the right amount of mala flavor thanks to the generous use of peppercorn and red chillis. I cannot recommend this place enough for their authetnic, afforable and delicious cuisine!

If you are looking for a place that has great dim sum in the Cincinnati area, this is the spot. It gets pretty busy on the weekend because of it, so expect a little of a wait. If you go in the weekdays to dine in, the wait isn’t that bad. Everything on the menu that I have had has been excellent. Staff is fast & friendly. Tonight I had the items listed below.

1st timers! And we will most definitely be back!! We tried multiple dishes and they all were fantastic! Our only negative was the Peking duck, we expected the nice crispy skin and it was more like roasted duck. But all in all a wonderful experience.

Chinese food quite authentic…but it’s situated in a quite a sketchy place..the spicy dried chicken is good but its too salty.. the fish fillet hong kong style is good.. and mapo tofu not quite good no meat.

The owner is super friendly! The fried flounder (not sure the exact fish type) is sooooo good when just made!! The fin is so crispy! Small bones all become crispy and edible! A must try dish (it’s off the menu you). They have a lot of good specials that’s off the menu, you have to ask the owner if you want to try authentic Chinese dishes. The lamb stir fried is very rich and testy too, and lamb soup is good too! Highly recommend!

Service was definitely lacking. 45 minutes to receive my meal, simple crab rangoo, egg rolls, orange chicken which were very good. Requested to 3 different personal for a togo container. Never got it. Paid and left. I actually was expecting there to be no charge. Was told over and over, so sorry for lateness. Arrived a little after 4, left after 6. So arrived b4 busy time.
