Down-to-earth locale serving Mexican staples such as quesadillas, burritos & tacos, plus breakfast.

Food was amazing. Ordered the chilaquiles picantes, chilaquiles mild and the enchiladas verdes. Chilaquiles picantes always great with that nice spiciness to it. The chilaquiles mild were good but the sauce was lacking a bit. The enchiladas verdes tasted really great. Flavor the moment it hits your tounge. The chicken inside was nice and soft, not dry. 10/10 spot for breakfast. Also the prices aren’t over the top. They’re perfectly priced for the amount you get on a plate.

Food was good but not delicious.
Good service, nice staff.
I really like the menudo, but my family ordered different things and they didn’t like it very much.

This place has been, and I feel like it will always be DELICIOUS! No matter it it’s lunch, dinner, breakfast, brunch, or whatever the quality of food and service her remains stellar to the T, the customer service is a solid 10 the food is a 10 and the whole atmosphere just feels welcoming. I will continue to come to Cafe Leon for years to come. 100/100

I had lunch today at Cafe Leon and had the fajitas. The video does not do it justice. The caramelized unions gave it the most amazing flavor I’ve had in a long time. It’s under new ownership, and they have made some small changes to the menu but have kept the essence. I’m so glad we stopped here for lunch. I will have to come back for more. It was quick and affordable.

I have been here a few times years ago for lunch and remember it being good. For breakfast, it depends on what you order. My son got the chiliquias and thought they were tasty and well seasoned. My carne asada omelette had eggs wrapped around some meat with some cheese on it. Absolutely boring. My omelette would get a two stars but my son thought his chiliquias was worth four stars. We both agreed the potatoes were nothing. They basically throw some potatoes into a fryer and plop them on the plate. The service though was great. The ambiance of the place is fine. Nothing crazy. It is a cafe after all. I may go back at some point for lunch, but I will not be going for breakfast.

This is one of the worst restaurants I’ve eaten at in Fresno, and I’ve eaten in dozens over the years.
I ordered the Chili Verde and Chili Colorado combo plate. The verde sauce was thin, runny and had no flavor. The pork was overcooked, dry and difficult to chew. The chili Colorado sauce had the consistency of and tasted like beef gravy out of a jar. It was disgustingly awful. The beef was overcooked and hard as leather. I gave up trying to chew it.
And they charge for chips and salsa. Tsk, tsk.
The service was good though.

Our favorite place to eat Mexican breakfast!!!! Ordered Chile Colorado n scrambled eggs topped with cheese, rice instead of potatoes and corn tortillas. Hubby ordered the wet shredded beef burrito. So yummy!!!

I know a bit heavy on the stars but, please.
Our service was excellent and our server, Maria, was very knowledgeable. The food was so good and the portions were filling. Fajitas served up on the hot platter sizzling hot. Literally. Beef Tacos and chicken tacos were delicious as well. The atmosphere is purely authentic “Mexican Eatery”
Gotta try out this place if you’re in the area.

$17.96 for a bowl of Menudo. Mostly homeny, little tripe, and tasted like straight lard. Flem on my lips that won’t wash away.
Condiments, super small pich of oregano, and super small pinch of chili flakes. Terrible tortillas, 2 lemon slices.
Boo to the cook
